Favors for Okafor or Noel Anyone?

I'm not at all suggesting that we trade for Okafor for the very reason you pointed out he is not compatible with Rudy. I was responding to the fact that most fans where so dismissive of him. I do believe that a 19yr guy like Jalil will become a decent defensive player. I was pointing out that a Rookie who was also injured last season is putting up the same numbers as Favors in his best season as a six year pro. Jalil will have the better career no question about it.

He also fills a major need of ours which is scoring! when you watch him so many plays end up with a great shot attempt or two free throws. Not to mention people forget he is also a good rebounder and shot blocker but not as athletic as Favors which is why he relies on actual skills and not just physical talent. His pick and roll defense leaves so much to be desired.

Also the Lakers took Russel because they believed he had more upside and could sell more tickets

Bruh, please sell your real estate on Okafor island. That is a place of sadness and despair. I promise you right now, Okafor will never in his career be on a title contender if he is your number 1 2 or 3 guy. I promise you this!

If we want another big who is exceptional on offense but play little defense, we would've kept Kanter. At least Kanter is beast on rebounds where Okafor isn't.

Lol i've been a Jazz fan all my life. Your damn right we'll be in the playoffs next year but it wont be because Favors is doing anything different. D'Antoni are you serious!? I still wonder why teams still interview him smh

I think we can all agree on that. But trading Favors for a better scorer is not the only way to get a better scorer on the team.

Personally, I expect Hood to score more PPG next season than Favors, which would make Favors the third best scorer.

The real problem is we don't have a true #1. But that ain't ever going to be Okafor, so why would I sacrifice our team's defense (its best strength moving forward) just so we can continue to lack a legit star? I'd rather have elite defense and no star than meh defense and no star.
