What's new

Fire corbin now!!!!

Inexcusable to be this unprepared for a basic full court press. Not to mention he had Evans inbounding the ball, who he KNEW would have to handle the ball against the full court press, the second time he saw that press. What a joke. He needs to be fired immediately. Middle school coaches know better. LOL this is comical

LOL You will be amazed to know I AM married. But my wife has been gone since Dec. 1 and doesn't return until a little after the New Year. So you'll have to deal with my crap until then.

Damnit! Now Corbin has the cajones to talk to the press! FIRE HIM HURRY!!

dude, lay off the mouthwash

He almost cost us a damn preseason game!

simple x's and o's. don't be so thick. preseason or not, that's piss poor basics. there is no reason to ever have Evans anywhere near the ball when it's a given he will need to handle it if he is.

it's evident not many on this forum ever played the sport seriously. at least not the ones chiming in on this issue.

I agree. Once Portland cut the lead to 6, he should have told the starters to remove their ice packs and get back in the game. What the $%^# was he thinking? Portland had their starters playing.

Lol, thanks I needed this.
Are you seriously saying that Corbin should've put the starters back in the game?
It was a pre-season game!!
Corbin made the right choice by leaving his guys out there to try to finish the game.
Guys that it in the regular season..... don't get as much playing time, or haven't played in quite sometime.
Can you imagine how much confidence this gives the bench guys? Especially Evans and Howard, who played great I thought.
I thought it was ***** for Portland's coach to leave his starters out there.
Who cares about a pre-season game anyway.
It's about looking at what your players can do.
Great call by Corbin.

This.
Typical chitownjazz.

This has nothing to do with who Corbin decided to have on the floor down the stretch. It's what he chose to do with them. There were other ball handlers on the court who he had placed up the court when he knew they were about to see a full court press that had already caused two turnovers, while he had Evans inbounding the ball.

Anyone who has played basketball knows the inbounder usually always gets it back on a press.

Say what you will about his decisions, you can't dismiss that he coached his *** off since the loss at Portland. I loved that he had the team practicing the morning after a 1:30 arrival at SLC. He had them watching VIDEO, something Jerry never did. He worked the team hard and had them ready to play their first home preseason game. During both preseason games, he was up and actively involved coaching throughout. All you can expect from a coach is to work hard, make the best decision he knows how to make, and get your team ready to play. I think Ty is going to be all right.

The starters aren't really starters in this league.

preseason for ***** sake! Let it go!

Fire Corbin? Didn't you see him turn a double digit deficit into a triple digit lead? Name one other coach who could do that.

Corbin COY and this team reaches the WCF, minimum.
