Firefighters shot in an apparent "trap"

Lets look at this recent case.

-This guy was an old man who was a convicted murderer

-He had a Bushmaster rifle, the same that was used in the Newtown, Conn shootings.

-He was not able to purchase a gun, same as the Newtown shooter.

-this old douche bag was only stopped because an off duty cop engaged him in a shoot out until the guy finally just killed himself. Something very similar to the Trolley Square shootings. A good guy with a gun was able to stop the killing. The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

A person who really wants a gun can get a gun. The same as a person who wants illegal drugs. Its illegal to buy heroine, crack, cocaine, weed(most places) etc..but people sure don't have an issue purchasing it if they really want it.

You're right. So using that logic the only rational thing to do is to declare a war on guns.

Is there an entire generation of hopless youth? Will disarming them matter if we can't take away their hoplessness? Or will more government regulation only increase their desperation?

Youth have always been like this, for thousands of years. If you believe the Bible stories, Elisha had to chase off his a group with bears, while another group raped a woman to death in Judges.
