Yeah. I guess I meant more on the lines of the rich New Yorker throwing money into the wind and knowing he was doing it.

New Yorkers are street smart though and well figured. I don't think their hardcore fan base was really buying what you are selling. It was obviously dumb to sign a rookie head coach, or any coach, to a five year deal at a substantial price tag.
 
Considering the OP...I thought this thread would be about signing Fisher to a 10-day contract to backup Neto.
 
Been telling people all season that this white spot on Fisher's beard looks like a pigeon landed on his nose and took a **** on his chin..

Jazz treated Fisher with nothing but class. Larry H. even believed him when Fisher fed him the sob story about wanting to be closer to his daughter's doctor in New York. Wasn't until he returned to the Lakers that many of us saw him for what he was.

It's interesting how Jazz fans were painted as over zealous dicks for questioning Derek the family man fisher... I guess infidelity/divorce/more lying and using family excuses to get out of places/dating ex teammates ex wives and possibly hitting on his own players girl friends (rumored on the inter webs) has finally revealed what those attractive front row girls always knew.
