Following 2016 potential draftees

Kentucky guards get rebounds because of all that size Kentucky has turns teams into jump shooting teams, Taking jump shots leads to long rebounds.. So the guards pick more of them up

So he gets buried on the bench to showcase some potential 2nd round picks?? I smell ********. this can't be good for prospective recruits to look at either.

I think they're pulling the viewing public's leg, the cronies at ESPN such as Dickie V, Seth Greenberg and Jay Bilas are bitter towards Coach Cal and UK, so they'll continue to pile on, and hammer that point home -- Coach Cal knows the court of public opinion's decided Skal's a bust waiting to happen, many still(jokingly) compare him to Ben Simmons..

So they'll play to that angle for a bit, give these pundits enough rope to hang themselves - then have him and the team close the season as best as possible ( I stil think they can make a deep run) and call it progress, they'll say **** like "the difference is night and day" -- And Skal will move on to the pro's

Skal being 7' with the ability to play PF is his saving grace, he's going to kill it in private workouts for NBA teams, so it's obvious he can't fall all that far in the draft - Teams will be worried to pass on his talent.

This totally looks like a team that's showcasing all their players, rather than one looking for the best combinations to move forward.. I really don't agree with the way players are being featured.

Tyler Ulis is no Kemba Walker, the offense should have been running thru Jamal Murray from day 1 IMO, the team would look completely different.

They'd have been better off platooning IMO. I'd seriously switch up the rotations too, same **** I said a while back.

who's showcasing worse thus far.. Skal or Briscoe?? I'd say Isaiah and it isn't even close.

Don't be mad.

The truth is Skal has fantastic upside, but is so weak he is a maddening case of we-lose when he's on the floor. The question is what is the coaches job (play players because of potential or to win games - it's a serious question).
Briscoe has a poor outside shot, but he breaks down a defense, finishes near the rim, and is arguably our best defender. No question, at all, Briscoe is the better college player THIS year.

I'm not mad, I just find this situation to be obtuse and absurd, and possibly counter-productive.

Skal's not the reason they blew a 21 pt lead to Tennessee, the players with the lions share of the minutes are. He's the designated scapegoat because his value is the safest, can't fool me.

Do you think Briscoe's still a first round pick with those Yinka Dare-esque shooting %'s?

I'm not defending any UK player. All I see is you attacking the decision making to not play Skal more. What I'm saying is he's pretty awful. It's a tough call whether he should play more, we lose more, and hope he gets better THIS year, or sit him and hope to win more games. Tough call. Problem is he IS NOT PROGRESSING at all. Also, and I've never shared this before, but the players don't like his work ethic, his attitude toward the coaching staff, etc. The players were WAY behind him through about 12 games and then they, too, started getting fed up. His handler is complaining too.

It's just not an easy situation.

To answer your question about Briscoe..
I would have him around #35. He plays VERY hard, but I don't project him as a good NBA player.. but he's a better cbb player than Skal right now.

I just see squandered opportunities, and not a good explanation as to why. It seems the opposite of a streamlined operation..

My main complaint is the rim-protection, Poythress is 6'8" and Willis is 6'9" (WTF is going on?!)... it's not just Skal's minutes, Poythress is like a poor mans Montrezl Harrell at C next to Willis, he shouldn't be starting over Lee..

Considering the scale of the recruiting operation they're running -- It's a joke(for the rim protection to be flimsy). This team's luckily been injury free too..

You know and I know there's 4-star players out there that would guard that basket like their lives depended on it, especially if they got an offer to play at UK... **** I can name a bunch of 3-star players that would..
... yet so much of this is hindsight.

If you honestly think ESPN and those guys have a negative agenda against Kentuck yand Calpri I cant take anything you say serious again. ESPN slurps on Calpri all the time... Seriously you cant think this right?

I said I'd start Lee, Willis, Mulder, Murray and Briscoe at PG. then Bring in Ulis and Skal as a P'n'R threat off the bench..

Now I'd go with

Skal-Willis-Mulder-Murray and Ulis

Lee-Poythress-Matthews-Murray-Briscoe off the bench.

You have never even see Nigel Hayes, You have said that. So don't step up to the plate with a heavyweight unless you have seen them... Hayes body is total opposite from Khawi.. Hayes isn't as athletic but ha a higher bball iq.... You yourself said you haven't seen him..lol...
Do you even know what measurements are? That's literally the only thing I posted about.

Bilas isn't all Duke.. I know it is easy to think this but he has been slurping down UNC this year.. Last year he was all over Kentucky. Some of you most just watch highlight videos and not the actual games. Or you got the volume down and the music up. IDK. When Kentucky has been good Bilas is all over them. I don't like Bilas either but I am not going to lie about crap.
