Following 2016 potential draftees

Just watched some highlights of Tyler Ullis, the game just comes natural to the kid and he has skills that will translate to the NBA, I really like him.

This mock has the jazz taking him at 12:

Doesn't make much sense with the way Quin wants to play defense. He doesn't want to HIDE our PG, that's why Burke was out of the rotation the moment Quin could use another PG who can switch on the perimeter. He wants to be able to switch everything and be relatively comfortable with all switches. You cannot do that with 5'9'', 150lbs PG.

What stitches said. I think we've seen enough of PGs that need to be hidden defensively. What a huge difference in the team having a defensive PG compared to an offensive one (cough) that needs to be hidden defensively.

Here's the annual controversial draft-day trade idea:

--Jazz move Derrick Favors for a top-4 pick, draft Murray or Hield
--Jazz stay at 12, draft Chriss, Davis, Maker or Skal

Why? Because Lyles can start at the 4. Favors is only average and is replaceable as a C and is otherwise too good to be a back-up PF. Jazz can pick up a back-up big in free agency.

Jazz come away with two players who have All Star or borderline All Star potential to put next to Gobert, Exum, Hood, Lyles and Hayward.

I like you catch, but my God. Draft fever is inevitable, I understand, for many fans. Maybe you should lie down.

True, but a) Hayward is a better overall player than Favors, and b) Lyles is going to start taking minutes from Favors this season, whereas Hayward doesn't have anyone challenging him for minutes at the SF.

A line-up with Exum/Murray/Hayward/Lyles/Gobert with Hood and Davis/Maker coming off the bench is a good, balanced line-up.

K, so we're giving up on defense then. Good to know.

Honestly, I think the best move for the Jazz is to take one of these upside bigs in Skal or Maker at 12. If it pans out, you've got Rudy, Dante and a third freak surrounded by competent well-rounded players.
