Following potential 2012 draftees

What I'm really saying is that I don't think he felt the 35 was as useful as perhaps we do. I think second rounders become hard to draft when you don't know what you have because they have a lower skill set overall but often excel at one thing. On a more developed team, it's easier to draft someone who fits a need. On this team, you're trying to draft BPA essentially at 35 and I'm just not sure that you really get much value out of that.

You may be right, but I personally see tons of potential (team needs, nonetheless) at 35. Will Barton, Darius Miller, Doron Lamb, etc .. could all be there. Doesn't matter and it's not like I'm mad or anything .. really just wanted more drama on draft night.

I wasn't there, but heard that Doron Lamb blew people away in his workouts. Text I got, "Sick crossover, surprisingly strong handles, and missed nothing, like not a shot, from anywhere." In another text I asked if there was an opinion as to whether he could play point. Response was, "definitely." Rumored that Philly is all over him.

Now, like I've said many times, everyone of the draftees could be getting similar reports, I just hear the most on the UK guys. (Also Scoop Jardine was underwhelming the scouts)

Yesterday Locke was tweeting that he was scouting the UNC/UK game and he was surprised by Doron Lamb - He said the exact same thing, that he thought Lamb could be a point in the NBA...

"Need 2 watch more - I am falling in love with Doron Lamb of Kentucky - projected by @DraftExpress and @chadfordinsider as early 2nd rnd; Love Doron Lamb's size, he can shoot, think he can play some 1 off the bench, Gets to line, plays pnr well - need to see more"

"RT @MarkJW_echo1: @Lockedonsports You love his size? I always thought he was an undersized 2 guard. (strong 6'5 - might be a 1)"

Sorry if I'm burying other posts some may find interesting. If no one has caught it, a GSW rep said they're looking to trade their #7 .. but if not, they're targeting TJones. I assume that's misdirection?

#7 seems high for TJones.

I hope Perry blows them away in a workout, and they draft him, but then just busts hardcore.

**** Golden State.

Chad Ford reported the same thing the other day - he originally had GSW pegged to take Sullinger, but said he heard the Warriors were on TJones...

I was thinking like 12-15 so I guess close to what you were thinking.

Pretty close. His size (6'9 / 260) is hard to come by with a full skillset (other than a ridiculously slow release). I don't see more than 10 or 11 guys going before him.

I agree with you but I can also easily see teams drafting need that late instead of BPA.

There is a lot of potential in this draft and from the sounds of it if teams cannot trade down they will instead reach, hence the 12-15 guess.

Who knows, maybe he will be drafted at 12 or 13 and we will both be right. :D

That's actually where I think he goes.
