Following potential 2012 draftees

This draft should be a lot of fun to watch. I would love to see the jazz move up and draft doron lamb even if he just turned into a combo guard but I would love to see if he can play point full time.

I think Jeff Taylor would be a great asset for this team. Even though he is a rookie he was a senior he is one of the players that can come in and play right away. He also fills 3 needs, 3 pt shooting, defense ans sf.

What I'm really saying is that I don't think he felt the 35 was as useful as perhaps we do. I think second rounders become hard to draft when you don't know what you have because they have a lower skill set overall but often excel at one thing. On a more developed team, it's easier to draft someone who fits a need. On this team, you're trying to draft BPA essentially at 35 and I'm just not sure that you really get much value out of that.

With KOC's history picking second round gems I would have loved to get the 35th pick. I think there are plenty of quality players at the top of the second round.

Seems like a lot of teams are trying to get rid of their pick or move down because they feel there are many players with similar abilities lower in the draft.

This. Exactly. This draft is super deep to around mid to late 30's.

Sorry if I'm burying other posts some may find interesting. If no one has caught it, a GSW rep said they're looking to trade their #7 .. but if not, they're targeting TJones. I assume that's misdirection?

They want a PF who is strong on defense to replace Udoh whom they gave away to the Bucks. They also need an SF, but they'll probably take BPA whatever they think that is....

If I were Philadelphia, I'd look at moving the #15. They need interior scoring/athleticism and the decent bigs will be gone. Brand should be coming off the bench if they want to move up in the ranks.

If I were Houston, I'd ask myself why I always draft #13 or 14 every year.

I'll be honest...MKG scares the crap out of me as a prospect. He's an elite defender, fairly athletic and obviously has a high bball IQ, but guys who can't shoot in the NBA tend to really struggle. I wouldn't be as worried if I thought he could correct his shot, but he's been hearing criticisms on his shot since high school and he still hasn't really improved it. I want him to do well, but he scares me a lot.

I will admit that shot is ugly. His elbow and wrist don't square and he releases the shot from his forehead. He also double clutches when he shoots. A lot of bad habits but I love the guy. I wish he would be a jazz man

A right-handed player who shoots from the left side of his face just isn't going to have NBA range. Very inefficient.
