Following potential 2012 draftees

I'm sure you know this, but so no one gets confused, he's a HS senior so he is, at earliest, the '13 draft.

He's a 3/4. I believe he'll make the transition to an NBA 3. His shot is definitely not broken and he hit a couple 3's in the McD's game .. he's just a tweener right now. Having said that, Rivals' leading national recruiting analyst, Jerry Meyer, believes Poythress could easily end up being a top 3 player from this next class.

Thanks for that insight. I am not confused at all about what possible draft class he is. Again, I just didn't want to start the 2013 potential draftees thread, but the more that GS tanks the more I think we should get that started.

Start that mutha up. I'm starting to switch all my thinking to '13 now anyway (both becuase of the GSW pick and UK's next couple of recruiting classes).

By the way, the UK coaching staff feel very confident we're going to add #1 Nerlens Noel, #2 Shabazz Muhammed, and #7 Anthony Bennett to our already committed #15 Archie Goodwin, #16 Alex Poythress, and #40 Willie Cauley. That would make back-to-back-to-back-to-back #1 classes. :)

Is poor Kyle Wiltger going to get to start next year? Or he is going to be a 4 year bench/6th man like Darius Miller?

I wondered if you were going to get on the recruiting trail now that the season is over. Good luck with all of that.

It will depend on whether he gains enough strength in the off-season. He's an offensive powerhouse but an equally deficient defender at this point. Not really funny because I really like the kid and his game, but it's kind of ridiculous to think he was 7th man this year, we could lose the 6 guys in front of him (to the draft), and he could end up being 8th man next year. Kinda sad, but possible.

I watch most of these top kids from their sophomore year in HS (don't go there, Cy). There's just not a whole lot left to add to the info on the 2012 draftees .. that's why I'm just focusing more on the next class.

Noel + Shabazz is probably better than Davis + MKG. What a duo they would be...

'Bazz isn't a done deal. He's 100% UK but his dad is demanding he goes to UCLA. Not hating when I say that would be a shame to see Bazz in slooooow ball.

I predicted long ago he would go to UCLA....not that I wanted him to. Best of luck landing him.

Btw, who do you see as a better prospect between Bazz and Noel?

I don't get that. Did the Dad get paid? UK right now is the best place to showcase yourself to the NBA.
