Following potential 2014 draftees

There have been some TERRIBLE choices.. this one isn't that bad. I think from a mktg/branding standpoint UK was the absolute easy choice. Winning a Nat'l Championship was a possibility at either UK or UNC.. but I'm not certain that's as big of priority as kids like to say it is. If he were my kid, I would have advised the schools in the following order;

1) UK - unprecedented exposure. Nike/ESPN/etc were chomping at the bit to run with the greatest team of all time stuff.. maybe Andrew didn't want that level of hype.. but it would have been undeniable exposure. (on the downside.. no matter how good you are, there are only so many minutes with 6 Burger boys and WCS/Poythress/Wiltjer returning)

2) UNC - Branded as the next MJ, shot at a title.. BUT no coach has done less with more talent than Roy Williams (an undeniable statistical fact).

3) Kansas - Still plenty of exposure and plenty of minutes.

4) FSU - total joke.. finalist only because of parents.. only school that would have been a huge mistake.

Reported for butt-hurt.

i love it this really levels the playingfield, kentucky would have cruised with wiggins...

so now that the dust has settled, PKM before i go please do me the honor of telling me why Julius Randle is certainly better than Noah Vonleh and Aaron Gordon, i dont know enough, from what ive seen, Vonleh is the sleeper, i cant trade Hayward fast enough if we have Vonleh..

i actually see it like this

Wiggins
Vonleh
Gordon
Randle
Parker

is that absurd??? the thing that gets me with vonleh is he looks like Tyreke Evans/Durant/Bosh... way better than Harrison Barnes

Vonleh has tremendous upside but is questionable in reaching his full potential due to decision making and just an overall concern for having 'it' upstairs.

The reason Randle is so cemented at #2 behind Wiggins is relentlessness. He's got killer strength, a tireless motor, great with the ball, range, and a TRUE leader. I am extremely excited to have Randle and always felt he was a bigger need, by far, than Wiggins for THIS team. (not to say I wasn't loving the idea of having both)

I really like Gordon, A LOT, but his game will progress a bit more slowly, imo. But it WILL get there. He needs more offensive moves to be productive in the NBA... he's such a great comp to Griffin that it's remarkable.

Oh yeah .. and Chris Walker is the real deal.. head case, potential locker room cancer, but immense talent. He begged to come to UK, btw.. even begged Calipari via twitter... but Cal said he wasn't the right personality/fit.

Watch for another kid that's going to BLOW UP. Embiid, freshman out of Kansas..

Ok, so you've just validated PgGod_AlecBurks ... ??

Here you go man, you've been validated, you're now qualified & certified.

Wtf are you even talking about? Never mind.. I'm sure you'll just type out some more indiscernible nonsense.

Well PgGod seems to be the first one to have brought up Chris Walker in this '14 draft thread? Then you just said Chris Walker was "the real deal"?

Seems to me that validates him as legit (and in the process validating everything he had posted over the past 48 hours, no?).

I love what I see from Randle but I am concerned about one thing, can he keep the weight off?

I love what he can do but I'm concerned that he will have a daily fight with his weight and if he gains too much he will lose a lot of that athleticism and explosiveness.

Is that a valid concern?

Srs question.. why are you concerned about it? Link to an article or something?
