Following potential 2014 draftees

Nor would I expect you to.. but you should. It's bad for these kids to go to Europe rather than play USA bb..

So why is it exactly "bad" in general for kids to play basketball in Europe? And Europe is kind of big, so that's a little inaccurate, unless you mean the FIBA system.

I just got some very disturbing insider news... that I hope proves to be wrong.

James Young is not yet cleared and may have some academic issues that force him to Europe this year. Word is he's working with the NCAA and feverishly trying to get things done.. but may not happen.

Shocker..A Kentucky player that cant make the grades.. Kentucky and Calapri are whats wrong with the ncaa... Calapri has cheated at two schools and is shady. If you think he has cleaned up his act then you are naïve. All that talent and cant even win a nit game...lmao..He is a great recruiter no doubt but a lousy x and o coach... Lets see anthonh davis got a 200k check to go to Kentucky.. Terrance jones commited to Washington but calapri bugged him until he switched... If my son was a top high school player id want that scumbag calapri no where near my child and wouldn't want them redkneck hillbilly boosters of Kentucky close either..Sorry pkm but sometimes the truth hurts and you know deep down that cal is dirty too but the Kentucky motto is win at all cost right?

I missed you.

Generally FIBA.. but I also mean playing in more of an NBA like system rather than Euro ball.. but yes.. you are correct that I unfairly over-generalized.

I honestly think you can find individual coaches over here who are just as good as in college. But you have to do the right choice(not like Jennings). In Germany we have one coach who's really good at developing young players in the last few years, giving them confidence and putting them into a position to succeed. Lots of young players are lining up to get their career started there. Add to that an individual coach like Holger Geschwindner(Nowitzki's individual offseason coach) to work with Young over the course of the year and I bet he's way better prepared for the NBA than playing in college. Plus he's not playing for free...
Not saying it's a general rule. A lot of young men have problems to adapt to living away from home, even at age 23. But it's definately possible to find good fits in Europe if your agent doesn't screw it up.
I like Europe way more than the DLeague or doing nothing from a competition and development perspective.
