Following potential 2014 draftees

In reference to last year's thread, here is some footage of Archie Goodwin not sucking.

Barring injury, that GSW pick is around 25. Do you know how many late-lottery picks bust? You don't give up Hay + a late-first (in a draft that will have a good player there), just to take a flyer. That's bad asset management.

Let Hay play for his contract. If you don't want to pay him what the market sets, then S&T. Simple. And, you get more and better assets in return.

Hey guys, Jabari Parker isn't athletic, doesn't have a low-post game, and isn't that great defensively! Just look!

This is too abstract. Intellectually speaking, the idea works out. But, in reality, I don't think you find an ACTUAL trade partner for that deal. Just my opinion.

Agree... I think. It's not at all outlandish though for someone to get Hayward and 22 for 12..

It might not be. But that would still be a questionable move. If the Jazz part with Hayward, I'd prefer the S&T option since it would likely yield a future pick + a player of some known quantity still on his rookie-scale contract.

The difference between 15 and 25 is too small (in this draft, at least).

Yeah, there's no way I'm letting Hayward go for a non-lottery pick. He's one of the best young players in this league, and he has improved every season . He's averaging 18/6/5 on the season right now-- these players don't grow on trees. Particularly ones that are as good defensively, or play off-ball as well as Hayward. Every single team on the NBA would gladly welcome his addition to their squad.

I would dd 1 more to that

Wiggins
Randle
Parker
Exum
Smart
Gordon
Embiid

I think at this point Gordon still has a chance to drop to 11-12. I don't see him going much lower than that, and if he plays well he will end up solidly in the top 8, but he's not there yet, but probably will be in the next few months.
