Even at that, you are being awfully kind to Gordon. In his one season at UNLV Marion averaged 19 and 9 on 52% FGs. He was a star. Gordon is just, well, sort of there. He'll run the break, get a put back here and there, play some defense, hit an occasional three (but misses too many as well) but he's not a guy you rely on, you run an offense through, the other teams game plan for. It's a shame we won't get to see him play another year in the NCAA. It's actually a shame we don't get to see all these freshmen another year in college. It would be interesting to see some or all of them get exposed for the potential mediocre players they are - like Harrison Barnes who was the same ****ty player as a soph he was as a freshman and is now stinking up the NBA. As freshmen, they get a pass for their inconsistency and mistakes, but as they play more years, that is no longer an excuse.
