I tend to think they'd rather keep Green. Green isn't exactly tearing up the league either, but he sorta has that blue-collar type game. If you aren't very good, you'd better be able and willing to do the dirty work, IMO.

Yep, I agree. Had that thought last night watching the Warriors play. Green will do whatever you ask him to. He'll try his hardest to fill in all the gaps to help that team win.

You know, was just thinking that it is really not that bad of a comparison. My 1st year at unlv was Marion's only year so I do remember his college game quite well. He actually has a lot of similarities. Marion was not three point shooter in college, in fact I think he was pretty bad. But he hustled and played d at an elite level. I don't think he was nearly as bad of ft shooter though.

I was actually shocked when the suns selected him in the top 10, but he has gone on to have a very good nba career. If we had to settle on Gordon and he has a Marion type of career I think we all would be ecstatic.

He'll run the break, get a put back here and there, play some defense, hit an occasional three (but misses too many as well) but he's not a guy you rely on, you run an offense through, the other teams game plan for. It's a shame we won't get to see him play another year in the NCAA. It's actually a shame we don't get to see all these freshmen another year in college. It would be interesting to see some or all of them get exposed for the potential mediocre players they are - like Harrison Barnes who was the same ****ty player as a soph he was as a freshman and is now stinking up the NBA. As freshmen, they get a pass for their inconsistency and mistakes, but as they play more years, that is no longer an excuse.

To be fair, Marion was as jc transfer so was a jr. Not saying he is going to be Marion by any means, but he has similarities.
