What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

Randle is 6'9" with an unimpressive 6'11" wing span. He'll fight inside, but what's his ceiling?

I dont disagree with this.

I was asking if randle is bigger than saric doe. (I really am curious)

Dont get PKM started on Saric, but his numbers are extremely impressive and the thing I really like is that his 3pt shooting has been improving lately.

I just imagined the Clippers trading up for Marcus Smart and when Sterling tries to shake Marcus' hand, Smart pushes him over.

To PKM's credit, he's pretty fair in his evaluations of UK players. Some are complete homers; he's not.
I'm always the most curious about international players (Exum, Saric, etc.) since we haven't seen much of them. The others we've watched play over the course of an entire college season + tourney.

Trust me I think I have talked more about Saric than anyone on the board. If we did fall to 5 or worse he will be a guy to seriously consider. I certainly think he can be better than Randle, Vonleh, etc. The biggest issue holding him back as far as draft stock is concerned is he cant seem to make up his mind about how quickly he wants to come to the nba. His new agent has ties to the NBA so perhaps he is thinking more seriously about coming next season. A couple of teams in Europe have apparently offered him a pretty big contract. His own team is now qualified for the Euroleague next year which means they could pay him more as well.

The more I watch Randle tape the more convinced I am he will be able to play the 3 on offense. He should be able to take bigger guys outside and beat up on smaller defenders inside.

I thought Saric declared?

Yes, but internationals still have a while to decide whether or not to withdrawal. Also he could stay in, get drafted and not come over. For instance if he waited 3 years and does not get picked top 5 or so he could make the 3 years and not be bound to the rookie pay scale all the while making good money in Europe.

He could probably fit under 7 ft ceilings, tbh, but it would be more comfy for him to live in a house with higher ceilings.

To be fair, anyone can look amazing if you take a 2 game sample size.

But yeah, I think you have to group him in with Vonleh, Smart, etc.

The race for being taken 5th just got a whole lot more interesting.

Suddenly I am not as sad as I used to be about the Jazz possibly falling out of the top 4.

Right now, getting a top 4 pick>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>picking 5,6,or 7>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jazz picking Randle at any spot and having to listen to hottttttkkkkkkkkkkk talk some crap about Small Forward for the next 7 years before his rookie contract/extension expire.
