My concern is that he won't be able to shake his defender at the next level, and he'll have to take tough contested shots. He'll hit some of them, but we want a guy who will get us easy shots, not hit tough shots.
Still doe

You seen Melancholia? Gonna watch that one next.
REally excited for it cuz apparently the only music used is a beyond legendary piece by Wagner
I have seen this. The best part was the end when they all die.
Like I said, trying to nitpick. It isnt a science how to scout. Its more of a feel. You can take all the measurements you want, and study the footwork, or shooting stroke. But you just cant caculate the intangibles, or whatever you want to
call it. You cant look at body types or skillsets and say they are this or that type of player. Its all about whats going on in his mind and heart. That will determine if he is just average or great. No, I dont know either if he is going to be great,, but my instincts are telling me that he has the "It". Whatever "It" is. You can just see that he owns the court when he steps on it.
Elite players typically have stand-out length, elite quickness, or both. I'm not quite seeing either with Parker. He's obviously very skilled, but I don't see how he's going to dominate his match-up. He can take PFs out on the floor, I guess.
You look at these shots he takes, and they're just not high-percentage looks.

Parker projects to have a good three point shot though, and this can help infinitely over having a few inches of wingspan or vertical leap. Not many teams have a big that can hit a three (outside of Dirk) that doesn't suck at every other aspect of the game. Parker is a good driver too though, so he would be getting to the rim a lot when teams close out hard on him. At this point he will have three options
1. Try and finish if the help is not shot blocker
2. Drop off to Favors who finishes at an elite 66% at the rim.
3. Hit another 3 point shooter on a kick out (if shotblocker present)
I think the offense would be a thing of beauty with Parker (and the right coach).
This is all a mute point. He'll be gone by the time we pick at #5.
"mute point" has been an inside joke on this board for many years...kind of like irregardless.moot

.....they also have Randle at 4......
DX specializes in European and foreign players. Since they have Randle ahead of Exum, they either think Randle is a great player (which he is) or Exum is not as good as we all think he is.
