Following potential 2014 draftees

so is Goran Dragic or Eric Bledsoe the #1 option in PHX?

Jeff Green or Avery Bradley?

Josh Smith, Greg Monroe Or Brandon Jennings?

Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap?

Arron Afflalo, Brandon Knight, Thaddeus Young and Gordon Hayward are all #1 options?

Of course he was. Dude was the best face up big in the game. Scored a bunch of his points on-ball (pulling up, scoring off the dribble, drawing fouls).

i know he was but i was wondering if people in this thread thought otherwise. there seems to be very high standards for #1 options around here

Sorry but there's this guy Dirk Nowitzki who was the best face up big until 2 years ago for a whole decade. He altered the perception of power forwards and how to utilize them nowadays and a lot of young bigs design their game after him. Quit pimping Chris Bosh. He was a poor #1 in Toronto. That's like saying Vince Carter, not Kobe was the best scoring guard for a long time.

For their respective teams they are. Yes!
For a championship contender, they wouldn't.

Just use common sense dude. Every team has a number one option

so then using common sense... Jeff Green is a #1 option

Im pretty sure thats not what Dalamon was talking about when he first asked the question, BUT if being on a bad team, taking volume shots and leading your team in scoring qualifies you as a #1 option, then i think theres hope to find that player in the middle of the lottery

Using common sense, Ryan Anderson was close to a #1 option last year for the Hornets (legit #1 after the Eric Gordon injury) Doug McDermott has the type of skillset that in the right situation (maybe Detroit or Philly) could produce similarly
