Can't tell if Raptors are pulling the red handle, or just exploring trades--business as usual.
Catchall,
Will you please stop trolling this board with that idiotic idea that Favors may or may not be traded.
I swear to god. It's the stupidest thing I have ever heard on this board. There shouldn't be any kind of discussion about it because the Jaz would have to be dumber than **** to do it.
Seriously, if anyone can't understand why he shouldn't be traded for any pick in this draft, with exception of the first pick, and even that would be dumb, then you are just a giant basketball illiterate noob, with no understanding of how you manage a team.
Can everyone please stop entertaining that retarded idea?

I wonder who we get. It's like Christmas!!!
This is expected to be the last lottery pick the Jazz will have for a while. They'd give it one last push to see if they can get an All Star-caliber player to mix in with Gobert and Exum. Obviously they like Favors and would be reluctant to move him under most circumstances.
Agree. The cellar dwellers just keep churning assets, trying to find the next sensation. Most of the time they miss. Utah is on the way up...WAY UP! Our starting 5 is young, hungry and talented. Do we know if they'll be all-stars? No. I think our front court is certainly on the fringes, though. Favors isn't a stretch-4, but he's a damn good defender. He makes Gobert better defensively by his presence and vice-versa.I agree, but that price isn't the #4 pick in this draft. The Jazz have 17 picks in the next 4 drafts, including 5 unprotected picks. If that's not enough to get an unproven (but loaded with potential) rookie, then so be it.
The 76ers are constant trying to play "bigger and better" and it bites them in the ***. The Jazz have 6 solid young players - with a defensive center as their cornerstone. They have a crapload of assets to add to that group. I'm okay with swinging for the fences. . . but not when you have a runner on 3rd and all you need is a single.
Keep the core 6 players and then ADD 3 more guys to round out your playoff rotation.
It's not a question of whether I think it's dumb. It's a question of how badly Quin Snyder and Dennis Lindsay want a stretch 4, how much they like Porzingis, and how stretchy that 4 has to really be.
I could see them cooling their jets and taking Lyles or Looney, but I would bet NY would ask about Favors.
It's that whole "Jazz are going to pursue Millsap" thing from Spence Checketts that set me off.
Also think Gobert would have a REALLY bad attitude, say "WTF?", and ask for a trade. If you did that, you might as well say goodbye to Hayward too, because I seriously doubt he want to wait til this new 19 year old can learn to ball.
