I never thought it would. My questions were really about whether he could ever play the PG role. I thought he would not read the defense and direct traffic as much as he would need to. Looks like he can certainly get there.

He probably couldn't right away, dribble may not be tight enough.

He looks like a very capable playmaker and passer... I'd like to see some more of him in the pick and roll... since a ton of NBA offense initiates with it...

Yah about his defense... looks very engaged and active with his hands, but sometimes falls asleep on the jumpers and doesn't contest. That's very fixable I think...
 
Put him in our starting lineup tomorrow... bet he's better than what we'd get out of Trey and Dante.

I see that, but it will tighten.. I just see him lacking in reading the defense (his individual d is fine) enough to call the right play and create for teammates from a set.
I do think he gets that too.
 
Even when he shoots a bad one the ball doesn't dare to miss.
