I think we just need to move up and make someone a godfather offer in the top 4 or 5, so we can get one of Russell, Johnson, Hezonja or if they all go I'd give Porzingis a look. I don't care much for Oubre, Winslow although could probably talk myself into them. If Burke keeps playing well it will increase his value, so he'd be a good potential trade chip.
If we go after a FA wing we are going to have a logjam, but injuries and such tend to happen. When healthy we don't have many glaring needs other than PG play and hopefully Exum is the answer there long-term.

Hmm.. this is a good point. We have Burks back and if Hood stays healthy and Ingles is making progress it would be pretty crowded backcourt.
May be this is the reason why DL had repeatedly said in interviews that we could be trading away the pick during draft time for a legit vet/star player?
Imagine if we bring back Book as our 3rd big (he's filling that role well), bring Pleiss/Tomic (they should be fine as 4th big), Burks comes off the bench as the 6th man with Hood backing up Hayward, then we have a vacant space in the starting Lineup for a legit vet/star at the SG/SF position? Our team seems ready to explode next year, getting a vet/star player may be better than grabbing another raw young player to develop?
Other than being nearly 10 years older, what do you guys see Justise Winslow bringing to the table that Millsap doesn't already? They have similar height, both are commited physical defenders and iffy shooters/offensive weapons, Millsap is dirt cheap at $1m+ for the next 3 years?
This is another reason why I think if we're drafting in the 10-14 range we might be trading that pick....

Devin Booker makes more sense then anyone else in our range unless Johnson or Hezonja slip. as was said before
PG - Exum future and burke lighting up the second team and hoping he accepts that role. Dante is still a huge question mark but I want to see what he does this summer and brings to the table next year. (3rd PG needed)
SG - Hayward thrives here but he can also do well as the SF. Burks is a huge wildcard because of the injury but if he comes back and shoots better he could be starting or be 6th man but that seems to be Burke. Not sold opn hood seems injury prone and is hot and cold from outside. I like Millsap the perfect end of the bench player.
SF - With Hayward here we are good also Ingles is OK but not great. Hood see above the one this the wings needs is a DEAD EYE SHOOTER none of them are that.
PF - Favors is very good hoping he will get better. I like booker as the back up he is a good inforcer.
C - Gobert is the future and present be he is still very young and could find some fouls early. This position really depnds on what Pleiss and or Tomic do. If the Jazz feel they can bring either of them over then I dont see a reason to bring in another. No reason to draft a 3rd big in the lottery unless you see a good prospect.
With that said the places i see needed the most are
1st - Dead eye shooter - Booker is the best at this and could see him making a lot of players better just with his floor spacing. You could also trade down and get Justin Anderson.
2nd - a solid bench player - some one that can play multiple positions. Looney would be a good fit to fill in at the 3 and the 4. but with booker I dont see it
3rd - defensive specialist - I see millsap and Booker being good here but Anderson would also make sense
To be honest the one biggest glaring need for the Jazz is a floor spacer and DEVIN BOOKER is that guy. No reason to trade away the pick when BOOKER is what we need

Looney is also shooting it at 40.5% from 3's and he seems to have a higher upside also with the length and the potential to play SF alongside Hayward in a starting role... defensively with his long arms it could be really disruptive in defense.. Booker's measurements aren't that great defensively (he reportedly has the worst height to wingspan ratio of 6'6.25:6'6.25 at the Kentucky combine).

It's so frustrating that he's been playing PF for UCLA, ... I think he is too weak to guard against physical PF in the post in the NBA. He also doesn't seem to play with much fire or urgency, but he does bring some pretty unique set of skills to the table that the Jazz may like (3pt shooting, passing, patience, not drive happy).
May be our scouts can see him in action against other SFs when we bring him in for workouts.
Forgive me my suspiciousness, but if you advocate someone as a wing player in the NBA who I feel lacks mobility to guard NCAA wings then that's something that I don't take all that serious.
