But he'll want the right deal to come over... plus I really don't know if he's physical enough to play in the NBA? He might be a vet in Europe, but the NBA is a different kettle of fish all together.
I just think WCS will be cheaper, he's more physical, much better defensively ... no buyout issue, etc.
I dunno.. it depends who we have left on the board. If Winslow is there - take him first. If he's off and we're left with WCS, Looney, Oubre,...etc, ... then I'm going with WCS without even blinking.
The play at 0:58 reminds me of Kawhi's length. He does the exact same thing against the ball handlers and gets a ton of steals off of it. His length is really intriguing... I wonder if an NBA coaching staff can mold him into something close to Kawhi defensively(he's currently far from it)...
Oubre isn't really a power player. He'd need to add some strength and bulk. Currently, he's more finesse, like a Jeremy Lamb, but he's much scrappier and more tuned in mentally. Maybe he becomes like a Trevor Ariza or what some people hope Otto Porter will turn into.

I think Oubre is going to be good, but not necessarily great--a solid starter and quality 3/D player with athleticism and length who will hit open shots, defend passing lanes and run out on breaks. If he can tighten his handle, work on his first step and play above the rim, he could be an All Star-caliber player. It's not entirely out the question, but it comes down to his mental make-up. He has a lot of athleticism, just needs to get stronger and finish at the rim. If he can do that, he might be the best 2-way wing of the bunch. He and Hezonja are much more advanced offensively than Johnson and Winslow, imo.

I'm warming up to Winslow. If we pick him around 10-12 I'll be happy. I'd be less comfortable picking him where we originally thought we would be picking (around #6). When it's draft time I think he or Hezonja will be the first wing taken.

May the Jazz prefer Euro/International players in general?
The players get their endorsement deals in their original countries regardless which team they play for.
No team other than the Lakers/Bulls has any special popularity over here, so they're less likely to go to medium markets(I know Dragic just did exactly that...)
Celtics are from a time when satellite television wasn't in most households and the game itself was way less popular than it is today.

American players = dont like Utah, because small market, overlooked
International players = endorsement contracts mainly in their home countries
International fans: Like Lakers + Bulls. Don't care for anyone else teamwise.
-> International players: dont mind playing in Utah because unless they play for Lakers/Bulls it doesn't matter.
American players like the national markets -> They will prefer a medium market over a small market.

Kentucky was down 7 last night with 4:00 to go and Kat took over the game on both sides. Complete and utter domination. We went from 7 down to an 8 point victory and he was unstoppable with sky hooks with both hands, elite passing, ft's, and owned the paint on the defensive end. Beast.
