Following potential 2015 draftees

Wow... Kaminsky with some big plays down the stretch here. Nice low post move, followed by a long 3.

He's a winner offensively, nerve of steel too.

LOL .. then Kaminsky just got scored on twice in a row, a 3pter over him, and a driving layup over him. I don't want another "Kanter" on the defensive end but he is looking like one.

Even though Burke may well turn into a better player (and he's not IMO half bad right now) I think we should find a suitor to take Burke off our hands. Then, draft Kris Dunn out of Providence College. The big knock against him has been his propensity for turnovers, but he has actually improved his ball security quite a bit over the last few months. Defensively, he's awesome. He's a great distributor, ball handler, and he has NBA size at the 1. He would make a great backup to Exum and if we held on to Bryce Cotton, you'd have two guys that have played a couple of years together already. Cotton would make a great third option at PG.

Pre-Tourney, NBADraft.net has him going early in the second round while DraftExpress has him going 17th overall in the first round. I do believe he has a good amount of upside and will be a solid player for whomever drafts him. I hope it's us, depending on how far our pick falls with how well the team's been playing lately.

FWIW Kaminsky projects somewhat similar to Olynyk. Despite Kelly being nonathletic and alligator armed, he has the 12th highest RPM at center (higher than Gobert).
And remember the Jazz did like Olynyk at 12 before the Trey trade up became available. The power of floor spacing.

I suppose if we can get our Matt Bonner I'd be cool with it. I hate to say that Kaminsky just doesn't excite me tho.

I like Kaminsky and if Jazz took him then he must be a good prospect.
But right now he does not look quick enough, strong enough, tough enough to be taken as a lottery pick.
There is a role for him though on an NBA roster.

But is there a reason Olynyk is only getting 23.5min per game this year? I mean he hardly was on the floor when we played BOS? I wonder if the lack of defense is keeping him off the floor?

Wisconsin won it in the OT. Kaminsky's final line: 19pts, 5reb, 4asssists, 1blk, 2-4 from 3pt.

There was a shot of him celebrating, trying to catch the confetti with his mouth. OH brother...

He was coming off an injury. Frank is a super duper version of Olynyk. Better shooter and passer. Whoever called him Bonner hasn't watched both players play.

Yeah impressive low post scorer as well which Bonner sure isn't. I think he can find ways to score on the 2nd unit in the NBA. Plus one thing he has on Kanter is that 3pt shot. That should open up lots of opportunities for himself and the team in terms of spacing.

a couple of thoughts

- I can live with the jazz drafting the tank. awesome nick name too. this is only if tomic won't come over. I wonder if tomic and kaminsky could play together? bad defense but who knows.

- I don't want a pg in this draft. I also want to get rid of Burke. I have been thinking a lot about playing burks in that spot. I know it failed with Corbin, but QS doesn't use a pg offense where a number of people can initiate the offense. I want a wing player. I just love the way Justin Anderson plays.

- I think the jazz need to pursue the best wing free agent out there. I like Middleton too. a trade is also an option.

think of this line up

exum, burks
middleton, hood, millsap
Hayward, Anderson
favors, booker
Gobert, kaminsky, pleiss

or

exum, burks
Hayward, hood, millsap
Barnes, winslow, Anderson
favors, lee
Gobert, tomic

Why not see what Hood can do in the starting lineup next year before going out and getting Middleton or Barnes? I think Hood can be just as good a 3pt shooter as those 2 in our offense that is what we need. Defensively he is coming along well too. I like Hood & Hayward lineup with Burks off the bench at SG. Bring in a defensive PG with good character who can knock down 3 and think we've got what it takes.

Let Burke go for a future 1st.
