Following potential 2015 draftees

When I say BPA, I mean whoever is BPA according to the board of the FO, which is the only board that matters. I just don't want them to have Booker ahead of everybody else on their board, but take Kaminsky because we need a big more than a wing, for example. That's all I mean whenever I write "draft BPA"...

Exactly. I'd rather have a log jam and let the players prove themselves rather than trying to fill a need while a player you should/could have drafted takes off on another team.

Frank's defense scares me. The last two years he was older and more experienced than just about every other big he played against.

I hope he proves the wrong but he would get destroyed by most back up PF/C in the Western Conference.

Boston is a fine defensive team with a rotation of Olynyk, Zeller, Sullinger, Jerebko, and Bass. If Kaminsky can play TZ-level defense, that's all we need from him in a back-up role.

Alarms me that he wants to play the 4-- it would be easier for him to guard centers than stretch-fours. He probably just wants to be the next Dirk.

And it looks like many have addressed the question orangello had for me.

Sorry. What is TZ-level defense?
And I would be OK with Kaminsky.
He fills lots of needs.
A true center who could start if Gobert or Favors gets injured.
Can score from anywhere on the floor.
A very good and willing passer.
Has the high BB IQ Kanter seemed to lack.
Can contribute right away.
He has his risks but he seems confident he can play in the NBA.

He put up 20/11/2 against Kentucky front line in the tournament and then 21/12/1 against Okafor.
A decent litmus test. He had an age advantage, but not a weight advantage.

And his defense?

That's the big risk Jazz will have to weigh.
But he plays smart to cover his weakness.
If Gobert stays healthy Kaminsky will not have to play long stretches.
Snyder will have to consider match ups with him.
Snyder will have to design defensive schemes to cover him when on the floor.
Kaminsky's strengths should make him worth considering at #12.

I have convinced myself kaminsky would do very well in Utah.

I like booker but am a little concerned with his fit with our wings.

If Booker and Oubre are gone I'm good with Frank.

I just hate that the reason for not liking Booker is because we already have wings. The kid is the youngest American born player who declared for the draft. He has an elite skill and that skill is in high demand in today's NBA.
