Following potential 2015 draftees

Hezonja with his quick-release jumper, explosive drives and above-the-rim finishes would sure look great on this Jazz team.

If we can't get Hezonja, Devin Booker's sweet jumper would be a great help to what we have now.

Edit: But damn, Hezonja would be perfect for us.

I agree hezonja is the perfect fit for this team

Hezonja reminds me of JR Smith but i was happy to see he defended well in that game DX appraised. My only reservation is it looks like all he does is score with good athleticism and good shooting, but im having a hard time seeing what he is elite at. That said, i would be happy with him if the Jazz took him.

Regarding Hezonja, I think he's a closer comp to Klay Thompson than Devin Booker is. He may not be that kind of knock-down shooter, but he's more athletic and fierce going to the rim.

Regarding Winslow, he's one of the strongest slashers I've seen in a while. Some of his power drives still remind me a bit of Dwayne Wade. The question in the pros would be--once defenders chase him off the 3-pt. line, then what? What can he do from mid-range? Though I guess he's a good passer and can rotate the ball if he can't get all the way to the lane.

The Jazz need knock-down shooters on the perimeter in the worst way. Hayward is still our best shooter from range, but he's needed to facilitate with the ball in his hands, like last year, and defenses just clog the lane.

I still like Stanley Johnson, I just think his athleticism and quickness is a small step below some of these other wings.

Did this quick calculation in the draft thread and it's likely that we might finish up with the 9th pick (at worst).

According to DX, we'd get Justise Winslow

According to Chad Ford, we'd get Myles Turner (with Stanley Johnson still on the board at #10)

I'd like to see this calculation of which you speak.

People are acting like Winslow has no perimeter shot. He's at 38.1% on the year on 3 attempts per game. Nothing amazing but far from broken.

15% on jumpers and horrific at the free throw line for a wing. Could be Ronnie Brewer all over again, not worth the risk in a jump shooting league.
I do like his first step, pretty explosive, but ultimately useless if they dont respect his shot.

I do wonder why he's shooting well from the 3pt line but apparently poorly inside of it... that is a particularly peculiar fact.

But then again Quin seems to want players to shoot 3's rather than long 2's ... so if his 3pt shooting is indeed legit, he could fit right in, LOL ...

Most of the 3's are set, rhythm shots. Most of the others are not.

Thank you. I didn't know this.

I'm not being sarcastic either. Thanks.

I would't call 60% from the FT line horrific. It's bad, but it's not insane or unheard of.

If our scouts think he can shoot the 3's I want him....

I'm glad there's a good selection of wings in this draft (Hezonja, Johnson, Oubre, Winslow), and they all have shown potential of being good defenders.

Winslow's shot worries the most out of them all, but he might be the best athlete (either him or Mario).
