A big part of scouting is talking to as many people as you can who's opinions you respect, and adding that info to your own personal thoughts about a certain player. I have no doubts that his opinions are all based mostly on info he gets from those in the know, but he still has to organize all that info and then try to form conclusions. Obviously, mock drafts become a lot more accurate the closer you get to the draft, but in the meantime, DX does a better job than anyone else in projecting players IMO. I just think it's a completely different animal than Woj trading bjs for the first right to a scoop.

Woj is the king when it comes to breaking news tweets, but he's not respectable as a sports journalist. Anyone who doubts that should google some of the horse **** articles he wrote about Joe Dumars and his amazing job as GM of the Pistons. I'm not sure what would be worse, if he actually beloved some of the ridiculous crap he was putting out, or if he was writing lies he knew was crap, just so he could suck up to people with access to info(it was the latter, no doubt). Let's not even mention all the negative articles he wrote to punish those who wouldn't give him first access to info.

Believe me, I understand that in such things as sports journalism, you don't get to the top without getting dirty, and I suppose there's something to be admired about having that level of ambition. Nevertheless, I just can't respect a so-called journalist who so blatantly abuses their position for personal gain. It don't sit right with me and it never will.

Why, because I despise corruption and abuse of power? Nah, I love wasting my time reading so-called sports articles that are written purely as propaganda to make some crappy GM look good. As for my boyfriend, I had to give him up when I started banging your wife. I finished breaking that thang in for ya, since you couldn't reach all the way.:cool:

I think he does it still partly. Under a lot of scouting reports you'll still find his name.

Ofc it brings it. If it's about hard evidence he'll break it.
But Porzingis being Top5 is a soft subject. He's in bed with some agents. So to believe that first thing I'd have to do is browsing around to find out if Porzingis has decided on an American agent and if he's got ties with Woj.
Since that's extremely exhausting to find out about backchannels I just take his opinion with a grain of salt, especially when we're far away from the date the lottery is decided.

He's forwarding something. But you never know if there's an angle. When he tweets such stuff other GMs know who Woj is extremely tight with, they'll at least have to entertain the thought of someone particular being interested in Porzingis. It may also motivate other ppl to look closer into him(Yes there's still franchises whose scouting is very subpar)

McBuckets added different facets to his game every year. He evolved and this way he could sustain his efficiency. His rookie year was derailed by being a rookie on Thibs roster and having multiple injuries. Jury is still out on him. As a Porter lover you should be the first to acknowledge this.

I think Chad Ford tries to interject his own personal thoughts and feelings on his mocks than Givony does. I think Givony does his purely based on what he hears from NBA teams.

Draftexpress writes scouting reports way before NBA teams start seriously scouting these teams. You can see how the players were perceived at a time by the guy writing the article. I like this way to get an impression myself way more than having someone cite 'league sources' in a tweet when it comes to prospects.
 
Locke said the jazz needed a 6'8" guy that can shoot but they dont exist. I think we got that guy in Rodney. BPA. Looney, Oubre, Booker.
 
If you think Winslow goes invisible, then you aren't watching his defense! His offense is scary though!

Booker seems meh, Oubre has soooo much potential, and Frank is just good. He's just good!
