I guess anything is possible. Burks + the non-guaranteed contracts would probably be enough, salary wise, to trade for a max contract player.

Yeah that's true. Trevor Booker and Elijah Millsap too. David Locke said today we could hypothetically target JJ Redick since the Clippers will be over the cap signing DJ. On the Lowe Post today, JJ Redick made an off hand comment that he doesn't plan to be playing in 5 years. I realize Lock was throwing a bunch of names out there and was hardly being serious, but would that be a worthwhile trade? 9-12 pick for less than five years of Redick? I could see merits to doing it and not doing it.
 
I wish I could see Devin Booker do more, but, alas, this is where we are. I'd take a chance on him at around 10. Looks like a Klay Thompson type shooter and I get the feeling his athleticism is underrated. Had a baseline pull up jumper off the bounce with a hand in the face last night that was a thing of beauty.
 
Dekker helped himself out with the game against NC. If he has another game like that he could easily be talked about in the 10-15 range. It is really only his outside shot that keeps him from that. Being a WI fan the last few years i have a dream that we get both Dekker and Kaminsky.

No way is that a good deal for us... I'd rather take a chance at Kaminsky or Booker and try to develop them long term, than a rental on JJ Redick.

All of this. Booker is the guy I want right now.
 
Only three players have ever had 20 points & 10 rebounds in a game vs. a Roy Williams team in the Sweet 16.

Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Sam Dekker.
