Following potential 2015 draftees

Don't scouts or NBA commentators always say something like "Oh the tourney doesn't change their thinking about a prospect very much, most of the work is done during the year", etc, et, etc????

So far on DX: WCS has risen to #5, Winslow to #6 (ahead of Johnson at #7), Hezonja and Porzingis fallen to #8 and #9 respectively. Poeltl put o #11.

Good for us though, imagine getting Hezonja at #8 !!!!!!!! A real possibility now!!!!!

If a prospect like Hollis-Jefferson hasn't figured out his shot by now, pretty decent chance he's not going to ever be a good shooter! And I think anybody who doesn't like Winslow is crazy! He's an athletic specimen with a good game and high IQ. Those players win you games. There's no reason he can't have an impact like Draymond Green on a team.

DX is awesome, but they're just a mock draft! They're wrong more than they're right! I really don't think acting like they know how it's gonna go is very realistic. Sorry, just being honest!

I'm not talking about the mock draft, I'm talking about the ranking. There is a difference. But like Croc.Dante mentioned before Ranking = Mock this time of the year by default.

Froshs have a very limited sample size anyways. And if you can see a tendency or they start showing something new, slight changes are always possible. WCS has been as high as #3 before. I think he had health issues in the middle of the season?!
Winslow was projected #4 early in the season and he's been very solid for 2 months now and arguably the best player in 2 Duke tournament games. He has found different ways to impact the outcome of games over the course of the season. Scouts like that, especially if it resuls in efficient scoring from a freshman.

Hezonja and Porzingis have been streaky all season long(not surprising given their age, experience and competition)
Both haven't been very productive, it impacts their stock if others are excelling. Hezonja is being used as a heat check guy for Barcelona and apparently his team is unhappy about him being vocal on intending to join an NBA team this summer.
Porzingis getts consistent playing time on a weaker team, but sometimes he doesn't find ways to impact the game in countable ways.

Don't get me wrong I love what is happening. It's making guys like Hezonja and Porzingis potentially reachable. Both of them were looking like a lock for a top #5 pick depending on who you listen (Ford or DX).

I should have been listening more to Ford, it is very smart in retrospect!

I'm fooling around with the ESPN lottery machine. Here are a few of Chad Ford's conclusions, based on what I'm seeing:

- He still thinks Looney is a top 7 pick.
- He thinks WCS, Porzingis and Looney will push the wings down to the 8th spot and below.
- He thinks several teams would take Oubre ahead of Johnson
- He thinks either Oubre or Johnson will be available to the Jazz at #11
- He thinks Hezonja could be available at #9

So Ford's Big Board would look like this....(though I don't have insider):

1 Okafor (range = 1 - 2)
2 Towns (range = 1 - 4)
3 Mudiay (range = 2 - 5)
4 Russell (range = 3 - 4)
5 Porzingis (range = 5 - 6)
6 Cauley-Stein (range = 6 - 7)
7 Looney (range = 7 - 10)
8 Winslow (range = 5 - 8) - only the Sixers might take Winslow at #5 if they land that spot
9 Hezonja (range = 8 - 9)
10 Oubre (range = 9 - 11)
11 Turner (range = 9 - 14)
12 Johnson (range = 11 - 13)
13 Kaminsky (range = 11 - 14)

Looney doesn't belong... Ford will come around. Turner and Looney are the guys I hope another team falls in love with and takes early pushing someone good back to us.

This is amazing. UK's two PG's are sophomore Andrew Harrison and freshman Tyler Ulis. One year apart in age.

They began playing against each other in middle school.

This is a pic of them from middle school (actual, not shopped).

He probably owned them too. Ulis one of the good UK players.
