Following potential 2015 draftees

Why are people giving up on Exum? He will be better... we are currently winning with him and Trey Burke/Bryce Cotton at point. We need to bring in a vet and let Exum develop. Exum is already good defensively with his raw tools... imagine when he actually understands what is going on. Everyone just needs to breathe a bit. Dunn isn't anything special imo.

I made a post about Dunn almost a week ago. I think he'll be the steal of the draft and the best PG in the draft (I don't consider Russell a PG).

Dunn turns it over too much and doesn't play tough enough for my liking. Jerian Grant would turn out better in Utah.

I would bet large sums of money that we will not draft a point guard.

You're saying this due to our projected slot in the draft, right?

Because of we did win the lottery, Russell would make a lot of sense.

Yes. Russ is different altogether... he can play both positions but will be best as a PG. I also think he's special. I'd take a point guard if there was someone who was going to be great slipped... example Rondo, Bledsoe, any others I missed. I don't think Dunn, Grant, or Payne are going to be those types of players.

My post was more about going after Hezonja than giving up on Exum. I do think Dunn will be good--e.g., Bledsoe.

At this particular moment, it seems the Jazz think Gobert is going to be a star with Hayward and Favors as solid pieces around him. It's amazing to think this was the first year Gobert got solid playing time. So it's all about figuring out the backcourt. I'm pretty sure Burke is not a priority. Cotton is probably a third PG. PG might be considered a need.

I could see the Jazz simply drafting a guy like Turner or Looney to replace Kanter. It's hard to get quality bigs later in the draft going forward.

Turner would be a perfect fit of BPA and need if his long term durability is not an issue. But it is. DL is pretty cautious and every time he talks about decision making for the Jazz he'll emphasise 'long term view' and how each decision has a 'significant impact' for the small market Jazz.

On that basis I would be really surprised if we take a punt on Turner.

Oh... sorry. I'd rather have Exum.
