Following potential 2015 draftees

This thread is gonna suck hard between now and June. Hottttrasssh is gonna start channelling his inner GM, teleport himself into the souls of other GMs, then return to jazzfanz to report his findings. PKMom is gonna text his kids out there, make sure we all know that he knows their secrets, then tell us secrets will be revealed on Saturday. That guy really has the scoop, so bring your shovel. A-Train played high school basketball so he has unimpeachable access to the heart of the game. Beware. Spycam will make sense... why is he avalanched in ****? A throng of alts will run through here selling the dumbest distractions. Stitches will tl;dr. Vermin will probably try to come in here and clean up, but quickly realize there's no point.

Have a nice summer braughs.

Lol, NAOS will come here and be a dick and contribute nothing to the thread.

This is an interesting class in that you have three confirmed elites (Towns, Okafor, Mudiay) and two other guys that will sneak into that conversation (Winslow and Russell). After that, one team's #6 might be another team's #14.

I'm not too concerned about it really; I'm hoping that another year will provide some more punch off the bench courtesy of Hood and Burks and that any draft pick at #12 is probably giving us 12 - 15 minutes.

I think we deserve to go top 3 so that's where I'm looking! I don't really want to add #12 to our young roster. I think a trade could be good and bringing over Tomic and/or neto.

Typical NAOS.

Now tell us who's your pick for #12, cos as we all know, NAOS never puts his money where his mouth is.

I'll try to actually predict this ---

1 Wolves: Towns (#1 guy)
2: Knicks: Okafor (go-to scorer to play off Carmello and attract a FA)
3: Sixers: Russell (best guard)
4: Lakers: Hezonja (because they like Clarkson and have Hezonja on the same tier as Mudiay)
5: Magic: Porzingis (because Mudiay doesn't shoot much better than EP)
6: Kings: Mudiay (happy with a legit PG falling to them -- a new Tyreke Evans to play with Cousins)
7: Nuggets: Winslow (BPA for a team that needs everything)
8: Pistons: Oubre (they want a shooting wing, and Oubre shoots better than Johnson; WCS kills spacing for Drummond -- Pistons might offer the Jazz #8 for #12 + Hood so the Pistons can take a PG; Jazz decline because Hezonja and Porzingis are gone.)
9: Hornets: WCS (they think Johnson is close to MKG, they look to trade the pick and take WCS as BPA )
10: Heat: Johnson (BPA for a team that needs to reboot --- either way, Johnson and WCS are gone by 10)
11: Pacers: Looney (Lets say they believe in his upside and versatility as a combo-forward.)
12: Jazz: Turner, Portis, Lyles, Kaminsky or Poeltl (Jazz don't fight it and go for a back-up big most likely. If Looney or Oubre are there, they may go that route.. They get a long-term big to replace Kanter and upgrade Booker/Evans. Will be drawn to the one who a) can shoot and b) rotates defensively. That actually leads me to Portis or Lyles. )

Jazz could trade the pick to a team that likes the bigs and the PGs available at 12. Not sure what deal is out there.

Player B: 6'10" / 235 lbs -- 17.5 pts, 8.9 rebs, 1.2 ast, 1.4 bpg, 1.1 stl on 54% FG with 47% from 3-pts

Player A is Rasheed Wallace his sophomore year at UNC.

Player B is Bobby Portis his sophomore year at Arkansas.

Jazz should package their 2015 and 2016 picks with Trey Burke in an effort to move up into the 7/8/9 range. Ultimately, if they could get Porzingis/Hezonja/Johnson, it might be worth the price paid. With the improvement that the Jazz have shown under Snyder, plus a whole offseason for Exum and Hood to work on their bodies/games, plus the assets and cap space to solidify their bench. . . their pick next year might not be worth much - if anything. Protect it top 5/10, but strike now while you're even close to a top 10 pick.
