What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

I'm fairly impressed with Booker's defense, actually. He's never going to be a specialist, but he's pretty good for a shooter. I'd be happy with him at 12.

That's exactly my point. A shooting specialist (potentially elite) and plays respectable defense.

I think he'll be a good positional player. I don't think he'll be a player that offenses go after and isolate. His upside is a rich man's Reddick to me... he can do more off the bounce and is bigger/more athletic.

9) Booker - Hornets decision making has been a wildcard lately. Why not this year again? I could also see Turner here as Big Al has a player option at 13.5.
10) Stanley Johnson - Wing depth. How long is Luol going to be there. Johnson is also the kind of player Riley likes.
11 ) Turner - Insurance for Hibbert leaving and opting out.
12) I'm gonna stop here ;)

edit: Kinda wanna add that I've done very little visual research on this year's crop so far. Just relying on written info from you and others here.

Lots of people have Charlotte keying in on Booker because they are so desperate for shooting and are already loaded with young bigs.

If the Bobnets think they can get an asset and Booker at 12 the Jazz could jump to 9.

Also, this morning Locke suggested that Pacers might be keying in on a pg and have already signaled they want to be done with Hibbert and speed up their pace of play. If they reach down for Payne or Grant ( who they worked out on Monday) it will change the draft.

The remaining teams are the Top 4 for three pointers made.

In terms of percentages:
GSW 2nd
HOU 7th
ATL 8th
CLE 9th

The great things about about shooting is that the defender can't cheat off his assignment too much, which in turn frees up driving lanes and produces fouls.

minnesota is going to take towns and they are going to be looking like a very good young team.

I am pretty sure that the lakers are going to take Russell and create a back court of Clarkson and Russell

Philly will be fun to watch if Okafor is still on the board but I wouldnt put it past then to draft Okafor and create a 3 headed monster in Noel, embiid and okafor but personally i dont like that fit and have them taking mudiay

The knicks seemed to be the big losers on draft night but are excited that they got Okafor.

the magic are also a an up and coming young team but are not ready to compete yet but are getting close. They need shooting more then anything and take a flyer on one of the best shooting big men in the draft porzingis.

I have said this all year that sacto was going to take WCS and I am not going to go away from that.

the nuggets are excited to get a quality player in winslow

The piston are a wild card right here and a lot of people think they are going to go with one of the wings but SVG likes shooting bigs and Turner is also a good defender

The hornets like booker a lot but Hezonja is BPA but weirder things have happened. The hornets are scared off of the bad attitude and selfish players and draft Booker here.

Miami needs a lot but with age setting in on their stars they want to win now and Johnson is more ready then Hezonja and could be loul deng 2.0

The pacers are dancing a jig seeing Hezonja still on the board

Jazz have a lot of options and look long and hard at Looney, lyles, portis and Kaminsky, but feel Kaminsky is the best fit with the roster they have and will help the team make a push next year for the play offs. He can add a lot of the offensive talent of Kanter with better defense.

Jazz need to take Frank if he falls to 12, IMO. Booker probably makes sense if Frank isn't there, but it's a bummer that it won't address a backup SF woe that we have. It would be awesome to have defense and solid shooting at the 3 spot behind Hayward.
