Following potential 2015 draftees

This is about what I think too. A lot of my opinions (and many other posters as well im sure) are based off of highlight videos and the opinions of media, scouts, and jazzfanz posters. Im 100% sure that he watches more games than I do. I mean my hell, gets paid to watch and research sports. I have a real job and aint got time to watch a bunch of college games.

Guaranteed that locke watches more bball, college or pro, than 90% of the posters on jazzfanz. Again, he gets paid to watch sports. Even if he says he doesn't like the college game, its still his job to watch them anyways.

Having said that, I don't like listening to him. His mannerisms and voice simply rub me the wrong way.
At times he is good (I loved listening to him during the game right after hot rod died. He nailed it. Was entertaining, emotional, and professional) but mostly I just miss hot rod.

No, it's his job to watch NBA basketball. Nothing about his job says anything about college basketball. His whole morning podcast thing is entirely his own hobby, not something he is paid/told to do. He says he likes doing researching the college prospects because it helps him be familiar with them once they start in the NBA so he has some knowledge of rookies on other teams.

But it is his job to know as much as possible about nba players. When talking about nba players, often their college careers can come up in a discussion and where they played.

I know that if I was Locke I would feel like watch college ball was part of my job even if it's not part of the job description.

If you were to read the job description for my current job and then actually watched me at work, you would see me doing alot of things that go above and beyond my job duties that still relate to my job..... Because I want to be considered good at my job by my bosses.

Eh maybe your right and he hardly watches any college ball. I know I would if I was in his position though

He's said in his podcasts that he hates college basketball because the quality is really bad and he doesn't watch it. He watches specific prospect when the season ends so he'd do draft scouting videos for the ones in our range. He started off with Kelly Oubre, and has done one of Devin Booker. From what I remember he watches 2-3 games of each and does a video with whatever he's seen in those games as patterns... With Kaminsky he started crapping on him and making somewhat definitive statements about his prospect even before he started watching him and the danger of that is that you open yourself to a serious case of confirmation bias. When you go on radio shows, when you start tweeting around and podcasting how "risky" of a pick Kaminsky is then you end up having to justify that opinion with something more than "he's a senior, and was bad in his first two years" and the result is doubling down on his initial uninformed pronouncements with mind-boggling tweets like "Kaminsky is a ball-stoper", "Kaminsky doesn't move the ball", etc.
