Following potential 2015 draftees

Tell me again why we don't like Kaminsky?

For me, it's:
- limited upside
- limited ability to guard 4s and switch out on the floor defensively
- limited ability to get into a stance and guard the pick and roll
- limited rebounding
- moves at about half the speed of Looney and Portis
- has less shot-blocking and possibly less mid-range offense than Turner

I get the Okur comps though. He's a shooter, for real.

I think I like him a bit better than Looney. Probably.

I like Portis but he seems a little like Favors, we need a big that really puts fear in the other team as a floor spacer. If we can't get that we need to trade back in the draft

The Portis play that caught my attention was at 1:25 of this vid. He starts a break, makes a tight cross to get by a defender then lobs a pass to Qualls in rhythm. I don't remember many 6'11" guys doing that. Probably Blake Griffin could make that play, probably KG, etc. It shows pretty advanced feel.

Frank Kaminsky has a highlight doing the exact same thing

Myles looks extremely spotty on the shotchart. I mean.. he shoots from everywhere and doesn't really have a place where his shots are concentrated. That actually translates well the fact that he really doesn't have a go-to offensive move with the exception of the turn around jumper. He will need to really work on his low-post game, or even some face-up game...

With Portis it looks like the central part of the field is his sweet stretch. From the basket all the way to the 3 point line. He also has made some crazy % from the right side 3 but hasn't taken any from the left side, which is kinda weird. He might be a great candidate for corner 3s in the league.

You actually pay for that site or did you get the charts from another website?

A friend of mine has access (I guess he pays) and finally gave me the pass after I was bugging him for all types of shot charts all the time... :o

Damn, I guess I shouldn't be posting those. Might be infringing on some copyrights. I will delete them, I'm sorry guys... don't want to get him or myself in trouble.

lol same with me

Still leaning toward Kaminsky
He can score from anywhere on the floor.
You cannot leave him open at anytime anywhere on the floor.
He's a seven foot version of Korver.
That's what the Jazz need.
