Following potential 2015 draftees

He shot well on the season and has a quick release. 20 shots is not that big a sample size. Was he warming up? Was it after a fatiguing drill? Id like to see him shoot 200 shots then figure it out from there. That said, i agree. His shot is ugly and 8/20 is not very good. You cant argue with 40+% on the season tho.

That's how he shoots it all the time. I literally lol'd that Cy called it unorthodox. There is a reason coaches teach guys not shoot it that way... It's not effective. He has way to much arms and flings the ball. Probably works for 18ish footers alright though because it went in in college. From NBA 3 point range it's too much of a fling to be consistent. His right foot goes too far in front of his left foot... Not a major issue form wise but he'll have to start his motion 6 inches behind the line or so to keep his toes off the line.

It's not a quick release he loads it up and slings it... It's a bit slow. He's going to struggle to be consistent with that form.

That said there is a lot to like about him. If we were drafting 17-19 I'd be excited to have him.

Harden can't defend. He is a top ten player.
Curry doesn't play much D. He is the league mvp.

Dirk nowitzki was not known for his defensive skills. I think he was top ten in his prime.

I disagree with this as well.

Curry is a good defender. Harden can be when he wants to. Dirk could play some decent D in the post as well. He wasnt a top defender, but played good enough D

Then there are guys like Kawhi that defend so well and affect the game in so many ways their above average offense catapults them into the top 5.

What would make russell not be able to defend as well as harden or curry?

I think he could be just as good as a defender as those guys

I think when it comes to defense, the most important parts are a rim protector and team defense. If you combine those two, you can get good results. You don't really need an all NBA defensive player at every position.

But you certainly can't have two bad defenders in the post. Regardless if you have Curry or Lebron. Both those players need their post defenders to succeed.

Jazz need to have a deal already in place with Charlotte before the draft. #12, GS 2017, lottery protected future first, Burke if needed for #9. Jazz draft Stanley Johnson, then Charlotte gets Devin Booker. Both will likely be available at the respective draft pick and would be great fits for each team. It just makes way too much sense to actually happen though...

Hell no. While ur at it give them my dog and future first born while ur at it!

lol

One of the best mid-range shooting PF's in college basketball.

If it goes in, it goes in.

Doesn't mean it will go in from three though.

His misses weren't even close either. His makes were probably just luck. He doesn't look like a good shooter at all.

Except the fact he was one of the better mid-range shooters in college basketball as a #1 option and hit 46% of his 3pt attempts?

Jokes on u. My first born hasn't been born yet

Genes say your first born is junior college material..

Sorry about the mean things I said about your dog... He's just a ball chaser on defense... No discipline.
