Following potential 2015 draftees

I don't know why people are worried about the logjam if the Jazz were some how able to get Mario? a rotation of Hayward, Burks, Hood, Mario would be awesome. Yea Mario might be antsy to be a starter but if he earns it then you can either trade one guy or have Burks come off the bench.

I agree with this. Guy's like Kanter and Exum who are drafted as projects aren't really good examples to be comparing to a lot of players coming into the league. You don't really draft projects with the idea they will play a lot of minutes right off the bat. I think the Kanter situation could have been handled a little better, but I'm not going to fault the FO for not clearing out room for a project to get significant minutes, as opposed to making him earn it. The biggest reason for what happened with Enes was an attitude of self-entitlement, and don't be surprised when he has the exact same issue in OKC when everybody is healthy. You can't use the Kanter situation as an example of what not to do with other players. Draft the BPA and make him earn his playing time, and when he does, then make the necessary adjustments, but don't draft players with the idea that you owe them playing time before they earn it. Just don't be stupid about their playing time when they do prove they deserve more.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying log jams shouldn't be a legitimate concern. They should. Just the same, sometimes logjams are necessary in building a team, so just be smart about clearing them out as soon as possible, instead of avoiding them altogether.

FWIW
According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, it's all about Kentucky's Trey Lyles: "While Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein have garnered the most attention, the Knicks for months have been enamored with Trey Lyles, according to a team source. Lyles is a 6'10" forward out of Indianapolis who Phil Jackson sees as a good fit for the triangle offense."
Probably not true, but if it is Lyles will most likely be there at 12. Don't know what it would take. Burks or Hood, #12, and a future first? For Winslow, Hezonja or WCS.

Would be giving up too much imo. Only give up a package like that for russell

Ill take a future 1st, unprotected, for the 12th pick. Knicks could still suck terribly next year if they are trying to run the triangle.

Never mind, NYC owes it 2016 pick to Denver (Denver gets the better of the picks and NYC forfeits the pick they get to Toronto).

It's crazy how many mocks have WCS going before Mario and Mudiay. That's hilarious. There is no way I would take WCS over those guys. Let alone even in the top 10.

WCS does not impress me.

Like who?

It's actually not a bad comparison. Hezonja is a cocky, ISO-heavy player who likes to shoot from deep. Could be a good defender, but hasn't shown it yet.

The hope is that he develops out of some of those things, but if he doesn't, he's gonna be a player similar to JR Smith or Swaggy P.

Johnson falling to us is probably the best outcome we can hope for.
