Following potential 2015 draftees

There is some intrigue to Hunter, played at a small-school and has a stroke similar to Steph. He won't ever become Steph, but I think he could be really good. Worst comes to worst he is a knockdown three-point shooter off the bench.

I like Hunter a lot, but I think his ceiling is Danny Green, not Steph Curry. He's just so weak, defenders push him around a lot. And he needs to take better shots. Love his confidence though.

I don't think his ceiling is Steph either, but he does have similarities to him.

I need someone to help talk me out of both because I'm pretty sure both will still be available at the Jazz pick. And when the Jazz pass on both Dekker and Hunter, it's going to kill me knowing they were there and Utah passes on not one but both of them

Dekker <<<< Johnson

Dream bigger boss.

No not at all, quick shot release, take some crazy shots, crazy confidence, played at a small school, really hit the scene during the NCAA tournament, and you know they both are pretty good shooters.

Hunter is taller and Curry has a way better handle. If you watch his workout video it just reminds you of Curry. The way he is creative with getting shots off, plus the quick release.

His percentages suck (compared to what I'd expect), but his shot is SO pretty. I think he really, really needs to get NBA stronger. Georgia State does not have the type of training that he'll see at P3, etc. And he has to take better shots. Good coaching will help with that. I love that he played for his dad, but there's an authority issue there that is difficult to resolve. Betting Snyder would resolve it pretty damn fast.

Great post.

His catch and shoot off of a high screen reminds me of Hornacek. I'd be down with drafting him for that element alone. Get that handoff from Rudy at the arc and let it fly. He must get stronger though, or he'll get manhandled and kept from even getting around the screen.

After watching this video, I don't know how you couldn't want this guy. Just such a smooth shot, he hit 9 NBA threes in a row at the end of the workout.

Here is some RJ Hunter hate to help temper your expectations

If you missed the draft previews today on the show, I talked about Delon Wright and R.J. Hunter. Of the two, I like Wright more.
