What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

Montrezl Harrell would be another good pick at 24, imo. I'd also look at Cliff Alexander.

I haven't thought much about the late first round.

Ok, draft night.

#12: Myles Turner

Then use our two second round picks to move up (if necessary) to draft Anthony Brown.

Roster

Exum/Burke/cotton
Burks/Brown/milsap
Hayward/Hood/ingles
Favors/Booker/
Gobert/Turner

Pretty darn solid starting line up and back ups. A lot of different options too. Pretty much don't add FA and grow the team.

Simple math says that Booker, Turner, Johnson or Oubre will be there for us at 12. If we really care about which one we should get, we should trade up to 9.

I would. I don't care much for Burke anymore. Even if we took Chris McCullough with the late first-round pick.

If Chris McCullough did land in Utah, when he's ready; I think most around here would quickly become a fan because he's a ball-hawk, versatile and athletic. The coaches would rave about his potential IMO. If the Jazz really want to pride themselves on player development McCullough is a project with considerable upside. He could've been a lottery pick next year, but declared because his GF's pregnant.

He's phenomenally athletic for a 6'9" player who can guard the rim and possesses recovery speed blocking shots out to the 3pt line. he shows good ability switching onto smaller defenders, which is a rarity, and seperates him from the Walter Sharpe's and Tyrus Thomas types in my eyes. A developed McCullough with what the Jazz already have in place could really tip the scales in future frontcourt matchups.

I don't care enough to waste an asset on it. Now if it was to trade up for Hezonja/Porzingis/Russell I'd lose assets within reason in order to get those...

If Kaminsky isn't a great offensive player, he's probably a bust.
I'm a fan of Frank and I actually agree with this.

His offense will be his bread and butter and he better be as good on that end as I think he will be or yes he will be a bust

This.

Hows about trying to swap 12 for 13 whilst finagling Bogdan Bogdanovic from Pheonix for lesser assets??? (Who wont come to the NBA for another 2 seasons til his rookie scale is up)

Dude shot 39% from 3 this year including;

If the opportunity to chase one of those guys evaporates, I'd toss a couple chips to move into the top 10.

I like Hezonja and Russell. And then Turner. Trading up to 9 should get Turner but not the others. I was kinda meh on Porzingis until the private workout everyone was gushing, but then I read something by a guy who apparently had watched Porz in games and said the private workout hid all his flaws. He was still pretty high on him but not a part of the salivating herd.
