Following potential 2015 draftees

There are 10 players I would be comfortable drafting at #12: (in no particular order) Towns, Okafor, Russell, Mudiay, Porzingis, Hezonja, Winslow, Turner, Johnson & WCS. I'd prefer to move up for 1 of Russell, Mudiay, Porzingis, Hezonja, or Winslow, but if we are unable to do so & none of those 10 players are available at #12, I'd prefer to trade down for an additional future 1st rather than settle for 1 of Oubre, Booker, Portis, Kaminsky, Looney, Dekker, Payne, etc at #12.

Oubre, Looney, & Payne all seem to have high upsides but a lot of risk as well, while Booker, Portis, Kaminsky, & Dekker all seem like fairly safe picks but also seem to be somewhat limited as far as potential goes. Since we're on the brink of becoming playoff regulars, I can understand why people would be okay with any of those picks at #12, but imo this is likely our last chance at acquiring a top prospect thru the draft so if we are unable to do so this year, I think it makes sense to trade down for 1 of the secondary prospects while acquiring an additional asset to use as part of a larger trade in the future.

Woke up early to watch this Real Madrid - Barca finals game.

Holy ****, Barcelona is getting their heads kicked in...

This PG Sergio Lull who's rights are owned by the Rockets started this game with his best Steph Curry impersonation, he hit 5 3's in the first quarter. Right now its 49-32 at the half, it looks likely they will get swept so Mario wont have games after the draft. Tomic and Tibor Pleiss arent doing **** on the boards, 1 rebound between the 2 of them.

Got to love some of these coaches. Hezonja has a big game the game before and then the coach plays him for a paltry 15 minutes while scrubs get more time.

Porz has been pegged as a likely top pick for a long time. Way before the workouts.

Yes, got to love people who know nothing. He has been playing on a high level team in Spain (best domestic league in Europe) for the last two years and probably would have been selected in the late lottery last year.

Didn't really hear much about Portis - unless I missed something. He's been under the radar for the Jazz. So he's my surprise pick. Great size for his position and decent range. Plus the fact Booker will be an UFA after the season.

I don't think Utah really feels the urgency to get a backup 5 because Favors can/will fill that role. In fact, I think finding a PF is the preferable scenario. Then we'd have a legitimate outside threat playing with either Gobert or Favors for 30 mins. There would only be about 18 minutes of Gobert and Favors playing together each game.

BTP - thanks for refuting the articles (to some degree) that gave me pause with Porzingis. There's a lot I like about him still, but I think I'd gamble on Turner instead. But Porz probably won't be there at 12 anyway. Turner might. But I hope the Jazz trade up a tad to be sure they get him.

Otherwise, I think I like Looney. But what's the question marks with him? What are his weaknesses etc that have him falling to the mid teens - early 20s?

There might be concerns about his health (asthma) and how that might affect his ability to workout and develop his athleticism.

I like Looney though and think he's a real possibility at 12.

I like these last few days before the draft. All the workouts are completed and now the rumours are going crazy.

A fly through twiterverse says....

Knicks looking to move their pick.

Sacramento George Karl says they'd rather have two players than a guy at 6, because the guy at 6 probably won't play a lot.

Russel says he doesn't want to play for Philly.

Heard from some teams that they think there is a lot of value in the middle, the second round isn't very promising.

Lakers trying to trade up from 27.

Pistons may trade their No.8 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft sportando.com/en/usa/nba/164…
