this kid could be in the top 10-15 next year. i'm also curious to see how irvin plays. he had such a nice stroke. but his handle was non existent

Yeah saw that. If he does well I wonder if this could become a trend?

I think so, because it's more likely to be mutually beneficial and justifiable for Chinese teams. The Italian team that got Brandon Jennings probably wasn't happy with their deal. He was a bench player. Scored 5 pts/game. There aren't many 18/19 year old that could go and put up stats in Euroleague or even make a difference. So what's the point of even bringing those American kids over for a year before they jump to the NBA for Euro teams? Other than some PR benefits before it becomes old hat, It doesn't really do anything.

In China, however, it's a huge power play. A championship type move. Guangdong doesn't have any good guards and they still made the semi-finals. Mudiay should be featured, he'll be paired with Yi Jialian and they could legitimately win a championship. And he should be able to put up stats. Guangdong will be happy. 1.2 Mill well spent. And it could easily be the same scenario with 10 different guys every year.

Yah plus the Chinese are probably the kind of people who would pull out something as crazy as signing a young up and coming star like this, just for the publicity if nothing else.

How much do the highest paid players get paid in China? I mean, could the next obviously transcendent stud (Lebron) be offered one year, 10M?
