Following potential 2015 draftees

To me he looks like a less explosive Rudy with better hands and touch.

This kid's already forgot post moves that Rudy couldnt handle, hes got faceup and back to the basket potential. Go-to moves are a big thing for me when im looking at 7'ers, Id have taken Brook Lopez 3rd, over Kevin Love, and Michael Beasley in '06. (after Rose and Westbrook)

I dont mean to be constantly talking bad about Rudy, but hes kind of limited to the Tyson Chandler skillset, so when i see potential 2 way players with potential go-to moves(like Alex Len), I just see a different ceiling. I was a huge proponent of Rudy's in the 2013 draftee's thread(said the whole time he was fringe lotto talent), his skill level isnt close to Qi's though, Qi dominates the games that he plays in.

Yah, I can agree... on the offensive end it's not close. We should be happy if Rudy manages to develop some hand strength and coordination in offense to keep the ball in his hands once he receives it. Rudy actually has a nice pass and vision, but the problem is he can't control the ball in his hands for long enough to make those passes.

fashoo, I actually really just want to see Rudy shoot better from the line, his french league %'s fooled me into thinking he was more reliable. Qi looks like a 75-80% FT shooter legitimately.

Hehe.. Mam Jaiteh is now in the first round of DX's mock. Dakari's moved into the top 20, which is still too low.

I think DX and NBAdarft are both missing Amida Brimah from their mocks, I predict he's in this years draft and safely around the top 20. kinda has a 'poormans' Mutombo skillset.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbTp8YVuZNc some of you may remember me talking Brimah up during the tournament last year (before they won it)

UConn does a 3.4 mile 'Husky' run every year, hes the first 7'er to win the thing, completed it in 20 minutes.

This is the first recuit Kevin Ollie ever got, and the story is funny. Ollie is very, very lucky, there's a 4 star bigman named Steven Enoch with NBA potential that fell in his lap this year too.

Heading out for the day, before I go. jazzfanz, i wanted to ask -

do you think the positions the Jazz list the current roster at, could possibly be tipping their hand at which position will be drafted?

I mean specifically Hayward at SG, Burks at PG, and Exum at SG... When i first started thinking about those listed positions, I thought to myself, 'They're gonna target a SF in the draft, with a bigman as the plan B'.

Im probably wrong, and jumping to conclusions, we wont know the answer til draft night though.

Hayward, to me, looks like much more of a natural SF (and less of a white guy on the court) with this added weight. I always said if they're gonna play Hayward at SF they should have a 6'5" PG, i'm happy either way.

That led me to thinking, The Jazz could draft a SG, not any SG(most of which would be redundant), This one:

thoughts? DX has him ranked over Stanley Johnson(disagree). Winslow's been on the scene forever, and has most likely been overanalyzed because of it... His value skyrocketed at the 2012 Adidas Nations camp... same as Dante.

Some will tell you that his 'intangibles' are on MKG levels, dude's obviously a gym rat, hes had grown mans shoulders and arms since his early teenage years. I really like how low he dribbles. He's a demon on the boards.

Burks is the SG now, Hayward is SF and Exum will be our PG of the future. With the Jazz not extending Kanter, it seems like we will be targeting a stretch 4/big next season. Another position of need is elite wing defender and here both Winslow and Stanley Johnson seem like great candidates. Neither of them can shoot to save their lives. I personally like Stanley Johnson better, he seems more versatile offensively...

Karl Towns

.. and yes.. Johnson over Winslow all day.

If the Jazz magically won a ton of games this season (lol) we could also target Kaminsky. Plus he's white.

We need specialists at this point. Defensive Centers or wing, Offensive centers (not fake ones like Kanter), 3 pt shooter, etc. Unless there is a bonafide guy to replace our current line up I want to build around the current core. The reason I'm focusing on specialists is because I have doubts we'll find someone better than our core in the 12-16 range. and we desperately need a defensive center or wing. Our defense is lacking, and the one area i think we can take the next level by improving. My focus will be on finding that stud, whether he is a big or guard who can add to this line up.

Damn, that looked impressive! His handle, his mobility, his touch, his up and under! They look great for a big man. Is he declaring for 2015? If he's 7'2'' and 215 he needs to add more than 15 pounds. 35 is more like it.

I don't think the Chinese Basketball rules have changed, which means it's not his choice. If he's really 18, he's probably 3 or 4 drafts out. His club and the CBA would have to release him.

I would easily take Qi or Zhelin whenever they do show up though where they are projected currently. They're probably way underrated by scouts due to Yi Jialian not being the Chinese Kevin Garnett that everybody was so sure of him being and him being older than they said he was.

According to Eurohoops.net Shane Kupperman and Bryson Graham of the Pelicans watched Vezenkov today(Kupperman is director of basketball operations for the Pelicans and Graham is a video coordinator and player development coach). Vezenkov finished with team high 16pts(6/10FG, 3/4 3PFG), as well as 4rbs and 2 ast in a win 83:80. In his previous game he had double-double 13 and 12. His team Aris is currently leading the league along with Panathinaikos without a loss. Vezenkov is averaging 15.5 and 8 and shooting 60% from 3 for the season so far.
