Hah I hope Lyles is shooting those floaters every game. My official player comparison for now is - If Zach Randolph was actually good, unselfish, 3 inches taller, could jump, pass and wasnt a complete moron.
The Jazz would be well served to trade for the rights to Andrew Harrison. This years PG crop is shaping up to be really good imo, there will be a steal available in the middle of the first.
Mudiay's a triple double waiting to happen, theres a Lance Stephenson element of raw power with his game,he wont fall past the Lakers. I dont think Andrew has chance at being drafted before him. I know Andrews a much more reliable FT and 3pt shooter (though Mudiay is shooting like 50% from 3 right now), so he's probably more of a fit next to the Jazz current player.

I don't think Okafor is anything Eddy Curry is. The video you linked shows basically 2 moves that aren't "dunks because I'm taller than everyone else".
1) Turnaround double pump jump shot out of the post.
2) Power Move to the baseline.
So if I started now counting Okafor's inside moves, JazzFanz would tell me: "You've reached maximum characters for a post". So I won't start.
Okafor didn't suffer brain damage like boogie, so I'm very sure one team will bet on his skillset in the top3 and see how good he can become(Unless he goes the Embiid route)
So you think Montana will surrender and nothing really happens? That's disappointing.

I think Okafors body is very close to Edy Curry's, Edy's was better though tbh, I think both players are best served with a defensive shotblocking style PF to play next to.
Curry was a really nimble, big body, like Jusuf Nurkic, he had great balance for a fatty, I know Okafor's body isn't quite that natural, at-all. he's had to work really hard to get into the shape hes in, Okafor's obviously got a very professional attitude that Curry never had, Like i said i cant quite put my finger on it, but im far from conceeding Okafor is a lock for the top pick, when he projects to be a 6'10½" C that imo will provide mediocre rim protection, (Jahlil is a fine defender otherwise, hedges screens very well, uses his chest on defense very well... hes smart)
Edy Curry averaged almost a triple double his SR year of highschool, 22, 9 and 6 blocks a game , Okafor was only around 2 blocks a game.
According to DX pre-draft Eddy was the same height out of shoes, that Okafor is in shoes, which worries me, Curry's wingspan was bigger too, 7'6¼", He also registered a 31" vertical at 300lbs... If Okafor was 300 lbs he'd probably appear way less explosive.

the fact that Zach Randolph has more assists than turnovers this year, at 33, means jack **** to me, dude was given 1,000,000 chances to get his **** together, he was able to string everyone along due to his over-inflated, toxic contracts. In the NFL they'd have cut his ***, twice.
my concern is what happens on the rookie deal, and that first contract after that, thats where im looking for potential to outperform the consensus, to look beyond that is fools gold. It took Zach Randolph how many years and how many teams to figure it out.

Would Jazzfanz really have preferred Zach Randolph and what he brought to the table the first 6-7 years in portland over Okur, who was selected 20 picks later? I think not, dude was always considered "a black hole" and a "team killer", Portland couldnt trade him without taking back 2007 steve francis, who at the time was as valuable as grade 4 toxic waste.
Ultimately what im doing is hunting for value, Im looking for favorable contracts, i view the salary cap as a system that can be gamed, something that can be easily manipulated and maneuvered around, I always said it'd be a tragedy if the Jazz traded 2 draft picks for Trey Burke, that felt, to me, like going for the gusto, All i wanted was a few value bets, though they did get that in Rudy. the Jazz should feel obligated to hunt for value the same way imo(**** the coaches input). Thats why im quick to point out when i think a projected 2nd rounder might be worthy of locking into a 4 year deal, Serge Ibaka was projected in the 40's til very late in the process.

Say what you want about eddy, he commanded double and triple teams the entire 06-07 season, Other than Jamal Crawford, he had no help whatsoever, Nate Robinson and D Lee were some of the best rostered players as rookies. He'd have been an all-star that year on any sort of decent squad, in 06-07 he shot 58% on 12.5 attempts a game, If Okafor is really good we could see similar #'s.
