Following potential 2015 draftees

I like Porz talent, but physically he looks like AK. Looks like a guy who is going to be rail thin with chicken legs his entire career and is going to be soft as *** on defense when he can't block shots.

@BTP I remember Michael Beasley's standing reach of 9'1'' at hoop summit from years back. At the time I was certain it simply cannot be true... At the NBA combine it turned out to be several inches shorter. Maybe I've just remembered this case and have formed an unfair opinion about the hoop summit's measurements. If you say that the ones you've seen have all been accurate, then I stand corrected. But still in this case with Towns it is weird to see a difference of 4 inches. That's huge... I wonder who is correct. I wonder if he's even going to go to the NBA combine. Last year the top 3 didn't go...

According to dx:
For Beasley recorded a 9'1 standing reach at hoop summit and 8'11 at the draft combine. That's one of the biggest disparsities that I could find but I don't think it's phenomenal since there's length differences when you're up mutliple hours(It could be 1 inch from morning -> evening and another 3/4 of an inch from extra insoles in shoes and then Hoop Summit may have rounded it up(Haven't found a single quarter inch accurate measurement)

I've been pimping Chris McCullough a bit on this board. Here's what I like about McCullough:

* NBA size and measurables for the modern PF position at 6'10" 220 lbs with good length
* Very efficient movement, both running the floor and lateral movement, and good court awareness
* Great timing and instincts on both blocks and steals; quick reactions and good help defense
* Ability to finish around and above the rim, though he needs to keep working on his body and needs to get stronger
* Some fast-twitch athleticism that lets him make nuanced physical plays with sudden speed bursts
* Good shooting touch from mid-range

I think he's a guy who could rise on boards like Vonleh did last year, although there are more heralded bigs in this year's draft.

He IS a shot blocker right now in Europe.

You know an extra inch every now and then might not be a bad thing ;)

But since stitches already took interest in it. When I was a kid and I wanted to measure my height in the evening my mother would always say: Do it in the morning, you're taller then.
And apparently our spine contracts over the course of a day up to 1 inch from walking upright. Maybe that's why most players take naps before games ;)

If we're going to draft a post player, it would be asinine to draft them based on how they would play with Rudy.

1) We're going to be an early lottery team. Draft the best talent available.
2) If the talent is similar (for post players), you realize that they'll be playing next to Favors.
3) Favors > Rudy. And I like both of them.
4) If we draft a post, it has to be somebody who can play C, because Favors can't guard centers effectively.

He's gonna be a beast.

Surprisingly Burks seems to have taken a small step forward last night VS the Spurs. He was composed. He attacked when he needed to and he hit long range shots. May be he is in fact our answer at SG and with Hayward doing so well at SF, that's a solid lineup already. Hood coming off the bench seems to be doing a decent job as well. Like somebody else here mentioned, it wouldn't be hard to sign a defensive wing in FA.

On that basis I would probably take OKAFOR, TOWNS, PORZINGIS and even MUDIAY before I take Johnson/Winslow/Herzonja.

Well obviously, ANYONE would take Okafor, Towns or Mudiay: right now they're the consensus top-3 guys. My assumption is that we're picking lower. So it appears Porzingis might be #4 on your draft board?
