Following potential 2015 draftees

I'm going to start paying attention to this thread at page 150. you better have the top 10 people I need to pay attention to by then, because ain't nobody got time for spending 150 pages getting to that point. . .

I think losing Poy hurts from a leadership/vet sense. Granted, he'll be on the bench but most of their guys are frosh or sophomores so to have a third year guy out there, in close games in the waning moments, can be huge in keeping those youngsters relaxed and focused.

Chad Ford's Mock Draft 2.0 (latest)

1. Okafor
2. Towns
3. Mudiay
4. Porzingis (called it)
5. Winslow
6. Looney (LOL.. who?)
7. Hezonja
8. Turner
9. Cauley-Stein
10. McCollough
11. Hunter
12. Johnson (what the?)
13. Russell
14. Poeltl

Jazz with the 6th pick takes Looney:

Jazz' chances of winning lottery: 7.5 percent

The Jazz, like the Wolves, are actually loaded with promising young players at every position. Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors have already arrived, to a degree. Others like Dante Exum and Rudy Gobert look like they're going to join them soon. The jury is still out on the ceiling for players like Alec Burks, Trey Burke and Enes Kanter (who will be a restricted free agent this summer), but there's talent there.

That sort of depth gives the Jazz some flexibility here. With Kanter potentially leaving over the summer, the Jazz could use some more size, and Looney could be an interesting fit. He's long, athletic, a beast on the offensive boards and very versatile. Put him on team that already has Favors, Gobert and possibly Kanter, and the Jazz have potentially one of the deepest frontcourts in the NBA.

If I had to do a draft big board right now it would be:

1. Towns
2. Mudiay
3. Johnson
4. Hezonja
5. Okafor
6. Winslow
7. Porzignis
8. D'Angelo Russell (Absolute monster SG w/ playmaking and shooting that no one has talked about on here)
9. Looney
10. Hollis-Jefferson

It's this time of year, I decided to do my big board, too. I think it'd be interesting to see what people think mid-December vs sometime closer to the draft and how our perception of the guys in the draft will change. So for the people who've been following some of the prospects I challenge you to post your own big 10 boards specifically in mind with the needs and system of the Jazz and what we want to achieve. Here's mine:

1. Towns
2. Okafor
3. Mudiay
---> those 3, I think, are the players we should draft without consideration for our needs simply on the "best player available" basis(I'm putting Towns first on basis of potential and needs). I think those are players we cannot afford to miss on even if we already have good players or projects at those positions.
4. Porzingis --> need for stretch 4 and potential
5. Stanley Johnson -> need for perimeter defender
6. Justise Winslow -> need for perimeter defender
---> I was higher on Stanley Johnson before I got to watch him in games in which he was consistently getting beat off the dribble. Winslow is getting much closer to him on my list than previously...
7. Mario Hezonja
8. Chris McCoulough
9. D'Angello Russell
10. Kevon Looney
