Love me some Exum. It seems like expectations were very low to start the season. Then he shows some above average defense and a decent shooting percentage from outside and then suddenly everyone wants him to be dominant now.
I think we'll see a Rudy Gobert type rise from him next season. WHEN that happens all of us will be VERY happy.
Thon maker draft?Been saying that, on this board, for 3 years. The one two years from now, though ('17), projects to be awesome.. and we get GSW's pick! Yay!

I've given up on Exum for this year. I really don't expect to make any significant leaps in his game for the rest of the season. I don't think he will suddenly learn how to drive anytime soon. Next year though, when he is able to get some work in w/ P3, he should be a lot better. If he doesn't make a significant improvement in his driving ability next year though, I will be worried. And by significant improvement I mean actually trying to score going to the rim, not making the shots, just going in there and trying.
Winslow is starting to cool off big time. I think he falls out of the top 10 unless he corrects it.

People mischaracterize or dramatize the people on here that are dissatisfied with Dante so far. Saying people expect him to be "dominant" is a perfect example.
The truth is Quin very much said, as recently as late last week, that he very much wants to see Dante let it go and that he would be complete fine with mistakes made in that pursuit. He specifically mentioned this from an offensive standpoint.
Most of the comments I see, here, in regards to dissatisfaction with Dante, have to do with the fact that Dante is massively passive and gets rid of the ball as fast as he gets it. I think most believe he has a great first step and at least can use that to collapse the D to help create opportunities for others, if he doesn't actually have the confidence to take it to the hole. But, no, he's made himself the "designated ball catcher then ball passer guy". Hard to keep him in games at that point and is scary from a mental aspect standpoint.
If you're someone that sees this, does that mean you're giving up on Dante? Nope. Its just acknowledging what's in front of your face.
It's very fair to assess how a player is playing at this current juncture of his career.
It only gets annoying when people extrapolate, and use a 19 year old's rookie season as justification for "GRRR Wee shoulda darfted ________ Exum iz bust"
It's not entirely a throw away year either. For a player to go and become a star after having such a poor rookie season would be an exception. The only PGs who were as bad as Dante who turned into stars are Kyle Lowry and Jeff Teague. Lowry is no longer with his original team, Teague is.
You're right. Dominant was not the right word.People mischaracterize or dramatize the people on here that are dissatisfied with Dante so far. Saying people expect him to be "dominant" is a perfect example.
