Following potential 2015 draftees

Does Oubre have defensive lockdown potential? He has that freakish height to wingspan ratio like Kawhi Leonard has. He is not near the rebounder Leonard is, but is ahead of him offensively at the same point.

Love me some Exum. It seems like expectations were very low to start the season. Then he shows some above average defense and a decent shooting percentage from outside and then suddenly everyone wants him to be dominant now.

I think we'll see a Rudy Gobert type rise from him next season. WHEN that happens all of us will be VERY happy.

People mischaracterize or dramatize the people on here that are dissatisfied with Dante so far. Saying people expect him to be "dominant" is a perfect example.

The truth is Quin very much said, as recently as late last week, that he very much wants to see Dante let it go and that he would be complete fine with mistakes made in that pursuit. He specifically mentioned this from an offensive standpoint.

Most of the comments I see, here, in regards to dissatisfaction with Dante, have to do with the fact that Dante is massively passive and gets rid of the ball as fast as he gets it. I think most believe he has a great first step and at least can use that to collapse the D to help create opportunities for others, if he doesn't actually have the confidence to take it to the hole. But, no, he's made himself the "designated ball catcher then ball passer guy". Hard to keep him in games at that point and is scary from a mental aspect standpoint.

If you're someone that sees this, does that mean you're giving up on Dante? Nope. Its just acknowledging what's in front of your face.

Been saying that, on this board, for 3 years. The one two years from now, though ('17), projects to be awesome.. and we get GSW's pick! Yay!
Thon maker draft?

I've given up on Exum for this year. I really don't expect to make any significant leaps in his game for the rest of the season. I don't think he will suddenly learn how to drive anytime soon. Next year though, when he is able to get some work in w/ P3, he should be a lot better. If he doesn't make a significant improvement in his driving ability next year though, I will be worried. And by significant improvement I mean actually trying to score going to the rim, not making the shots, just going in there and trying.

All I remember hearing is how everyone was so excited that he fell to us because he should have been picked earlier due to how great he is...... he maybe even should have went #1 but other teams were dumb and passed on him....... he reminds people of kobe and penny hardaway.

I feel the same way.

Winslow is starting to cool off big time. I think he falls out of the top 10 unless he corrects it.

2pt Jumpers: 13.3%
3pt Jumpers: 34.5%
FT%: 56.9%

I've been saying this for a long time. He's not a shooter. His % from 3 was a fluke, IMO. I predicted it would come down to earth cause his form simply isn't that good.

Honestly if Russell, Johnson, and Oubre are all off the board, I would look at Booker in the lottery. He is projected at #20 right now, but I think he ends up in the late lottery by the draft if he decides to enter.

It's very fair to assess how a player is playing at this current juncture of his career.

It only gets annoying when people extrapolate, and use a 19 year old's rookie season as justification for "GRRR Wee shoulda darfted ________ Exum iz bust"

It's not entirely a throw away year either. For a player to go and become a star after having such a poor rookie season would be an exception. The only PGs who were as bad as Dante who turned into stars are Kyle Lowry and Jeff Teague. Lowry is no longer with his original team, Teague is.

And yet, Dante is vastly different. He's 19, in a foreign country, playing a difficult position for a rookie on a team that's lacking a strong leader. I'm not trying to make excuses, but you have to realize these things.

You're right. Dominant was not the right word.

I will say that I have heard more people recently question if he will ever be good. Give him time, he'll come around.
