Following potential 2015 draftees

Exum sucks at stuff he was really good at, so that suggest he is just having trouble at adjusting to the competition level, which is understandable.
The question is, was exum ever really that good at the stuff he was supposedly good at or was playing against Australian high schoolers making him look good at it.

Kanter played **** *** prep school ballers (really low competition level even for USA) in the USA and was still noted as being a lazy *** defender.

Right on.

He was also noted for not being able to pass in Prep School, still can't ****ing pass.
Super cool also

If Winslow is sucking this much D at shooting for the rest of the year I would be worried, might just be a small slump, his overall % are still solid.

Eh, he's pretty bad, .512 TS is awful (Hood was .590 at Duke last year). Winslow's numbers are very similar to Archie Goodwin's at Kentucky, who is now hoisting bricks in D league. I'm not sure how Winslow scores in the NBA.

Exum had a bunch of skills that he was supposedly very good at before the draft. Now those skills have vanished.

I was asking if maybe playing against high school aussies made those skills exist

Exum was drafted largely on potential though, he was never going to be very good from day 1.

Having said that, he seems to lack a bit of a 'fighter' attitude. A mix of Burke & Exum would be a perfect player.

My point wasn't that those Lakers' players could lure him. It was that Pelinka obviously has a very strong relationship with the team. That coupled with Exum's pre-draft comments about the Lakers and known affiliation with Kobe should concern fans. At least a little.

If Utah is as good as they should be by the time Exum is a UFA, losing Exum shouldn't be a huge concern. However, anytime Utah is in a position where they aren't a winning team, they need to be proactive with ALL important assets, as far as moving them to avoid losing them for nothing. I'm not any more concerned about Exum than anybody else, really. If we suck and there's the slightest doubt of retaining a player, trade them to be on the safe side. We can't afford to lose valuable assets due to living in denial about our ability to retain players.
