Following potential 2015 draftees

Imagine two years from now if Exum's handle is light years better. The ability of him, Russell and Hayward to all take someone off the dribble, attack, dish, find one of them for the open three or find a big man underneath, or finish at the rim...I think I need to change my boxers.

Imagine if Kanter has taken his three point shot to the next level next year and again the year after as well. Oh vey. This team could be scary on both ends of the court.

Westbrook is just ultra ****ing aggressive. Makes him seem even more athletic than he already is. I would say Westbrook is the most athletic player in the league actually.

Yep... Eric Gordon's max vertical at the combine was 40''. Westbrook's was 36.5''... The biggest difference is aggression and strength...

Remember that acceleration is much more important than speed. Jumping quickly is more important than those last few inches.

Also, remember Gordon was a nice player before some make injuries.

LOL. This means nothing as far as functional athleticism is concerned.

True, I was just putting some relevant numbers. Eric Gordon was a great athlete, but how you use or don't use your tools ultimately determines the impact of your athleticism on the game. I think Westbrook uses his tools at close to a maximum level, while with Gordon, even before the injury he didn't have the aggression and speed and strength to actually unleash his jumping ability on a consistent basis.

Watch Gordon's "highlights" from years ago on dunks and watch Westbrook's. One's an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 as far as NBA athleticism goes and one's about a 6.5.
