Following potential 2015 draftees

Well if Kanter leaves the Jazz will need a third big. I thing the Jazz should use some of their assets to get another first. I like several of the SG/SF in this draft so perhaps they can use Burke or Kanter to get another SG. Besides the Jazz have Burks coming back next year too.

Obviously but basically what we'd be doing is drafting a backup (unless we all want to keep Gobert on the bench) while ignoring the fact that our guard play is still abysmal.

Booker can be our 3rd big. His 3pt shot has shown more promise than Kanter's and it's also his 1st year shooting 3's. It's not like he is old either.

I'm also fine with booker as our third big.

You could do ALOT worse

I'd be interested to know the reputation of the team they were playing.

Was it an unexpected extreme blowout or a team that isn't even close to their level, like the Warriors playing the Sixers or the Warriors playing a D-League team.

They are lower level Spanish ACB league team(one of the worst teams in the league). Their record is 5-14... Their biggest loss prior to this 50pts fiasco was 26 pt loss, but they lose regularly by ~20 points. I don't know if that helps...

Emmm...Super Mario did them dirty

Hezonja for a white dude from europe has amazing athleticism if he has the right mentality and has no problem w/ SLC Hezonja/Gordon could be a nice wing duo.

He doesn't come over right away?
If we draft a euro I would even prefer that. Let our core develop and than bring them(+Neto) over on their rookie deals.

They wouldn't be limited to the rookie scale though after 3 years and can be signed with capspace and exceptions.

Yep, I'm officially on the Hezonja bandwagon. I'm going to be mega-pissed if we miss this guy by a pick or two. Breaking out the voodoo dolls.

Well we might be drafting a backup at the SG especially since Burks/Hoods will be available next year. Our SG/SF position wouldn't be so thin if we hadn't lost those two players. I think you take the best player available regardless of position but if Kanter leaves then Gobert takes his spot and the Jazz can fill up a backup PF or C if they are the best player available.

Exactly. Quin has shown he'll make changes if/when he determines (Dante/Trey). Burks will start next season. And I think Gobert will too, even if Utah keeps Kanter. Now that we're likely drafting in the 8-12 range, I'm hoping Hezonja or Porzingis will be available - although I'd still love to see a Gobert/WCS rotation at the 5, allowing Favors to play all his minutes at PF. I know Booker has just one season remaining on his contract, but I think he'd re-sign. And I'm ok with him as our backup 4. As Cy said, this is his first season shooting 3's. He's at 35% which is pretty good for a PF. And there's no question his intensity fuels the team and the crowd.
