I think you misunderstand me let me explain

- I want to develope a winning culture now with Hayward, favors, Gobert and exum. to be honest I don't see them losing to many spots in the lottery.

- I want kanter traded for an asset. I like the Batum idea a lot even if we give up a future first. so with the trade the jazz get another player in the trade.

- I believe in this draft it is loaded with wings and bigs. the jazz can get a solid player in the mid to late lottery.

let's assume the jazz make the trade with Portland for Batum. it actually makes sense for both teams.

exum, Burke - jazz are set at pg for a while.
Hayward, burks - jazz would be set at sg for a long while
Batum, hood, ingles - starting jazz are solid starting with Batum hood and ingles are weak. maybe hood is used in the trade.
favors, booker - jazz are very solid at pf and I like booker off the bench
Gobert, ? - good at center but need a vet to back up Gobert because he is still very young.

kaminsky would be a good pick up in the draft here or wcs drops to the jazz.

if say the jazz did make a trade for Noel then the jazz choose between Johnson, hezonja, booker or Winslow.

Why would POR do this? It's not like they have another SF waiting in the wing (pun intended).

I love love love watching Nigel Hayes. He's built perfectly for the college game. I think his future in the NBA will be dependent on how his perimeter skills develop. If he can fit in an offensive system then he'll play because his body-type is a tough cover. Not sure he'd be able to survive as a defense first dude, but maybe he's really quick laterally, Idk. I have not watched him play enough perimeter defense to make my worthless determination.

Allan crabbe - has put up decent #s when given time
dorel wright - well he is a decent back up
victor claver - I like him but will be back in Europe next year. he wants playing time

I also said that hood would have to be added and a future first. with Portland off the books Portland will resign lillard and Aldridge and have money for another big free agent. Portland can get their own big 3. with kanter backing up the 4 and the 5. Portland could be very dangerous next year.

Not possible
Jazz are too injured and lacking in overall team talent to win much.
