Following potential 2017 draftees...

Great read on Justin Patton - If you're not all that familiar with this years projected class i think he's a good starting point to be used as a measuring stick of just what type of talent is involved with this draft near the lottery..

Sacha Killeya Jones, UK Fr. sorta has that type of game (at PF) he's much further behind at this point tho., not the same type of upside either he's more like at best a top-20 type.

Patton's a better prospect than Thon Maker in my book. My final grade on Thon was low because of the DOB scandal but I used to regularly post that he had lotto talent, even during the perceived downswings on his stock.

If the Jazz got him he'd come off the bench like a bat out of hell. Opposing fans would start to really understand the depth and talent of this roster and would react like "who tf is that?!? - how'd they get all these bigs?!? their backup PF-C both shoot 3s??"

Simply put I've identified Patton as someone who'd be totally overkill on the Jazz... there's most certainly a great number of players in this draft who are that status..

“He reminds me of Marcus Camby,” Mullin said when I asked what he thought of Patton. “[He has] great hands and even banged a three. Especially tonight, he looked All-NBA.”

I also am quite confident that if somehow Utah can get their hands on Markelle Fultz, that he'd be like adding a young Deron to the Mix.

Fultz probably projects as a better defender too.

Nothing short of giving up Gobert would accomplish that though...

I am hoping he comes out this year just because there is so much talent he will get pushed down some.

I think Patton has the foot work to be able to guard of on the perimeter.

Maybe a future replacement for favors if favors body continues to deteriorate.

Faultz is going #1 jazz aren't getting him. Actually I was looking at fords most recent mock and he has Philly drafting faultz and monk. Those 2 with their roster and Philly might actually have one of the best young roster in the NBA.

Not to mention adding depth with a Noel trade. Okafur and illysova is a good start on a bench

Jayson Tatum v Jonathan Isaac tonight !! FSU's favored by 2 at home.

I don't know what to think about Jonathan Issac. Love the length and the instincts. I can't tell if he's going to get more explosive and gain body control when he gets stronger. If he does, there's real upside there.

He's not nearly as ready physically as Tatum or Giles.

If you watch closely Jonathan Isaac's body control is quite good already, better than Brandon Ingram's last year.

Amile Jefferson's out tonight for Duke so we should get a healthy viewing of Harry Giles, Marques Bolden and maybe even a DeLaurier sighting.
