Following potential 2017 draftees...

Pretty sure you're wrong.

But if you're right, i kinda dig the idea that Rudy is so good be creates 1st rd prospects.

Obviously no way to know for sure if I'm right, but every time I've read or listened to a podcast where Jeanne is a topic of discussion, they talk about Rudy Gobert. When they say "Oh, well he looked kind of weak and scrawny" the next thing was "Gobert looked terrible in the combine and got bullied around and now he is a top center in the NBA".

One concerning thing about Frank Jackson is that he is a 2-foot jumper. For a dude having a 42 inch vertical, you'd think you'd be able to find more highlights of him dunking, but you really can't. Every time he dunks (from what I've seen) it's off two feet. He doesnt get much elevation off 1 foot in traffic. It's a pretty stark contrast to Grayson Allen, who can really explode off 1 foot in traffic.

This Frank Jackson guy is a first rounder?
He would be good as a second round but im not sure to spend first round picks on him. Although he looks good.

Yep, I've noticed this one too... I've always valued one foot jumpers more, especially on the perimeter. Nobody is waiting for a guard to gather up and jump off 2 feet in the paint.

Yeah, one of the college dudes I listen to a lot isn't a big Frank Jackson fan (thinks he shouldn't be a 1st round pick). He cites that 2-foot thing as his biggest concern.

Yeah, something i thought about a bit. Though in one highlight, i did see him recover and block a guy at the rim where he really got up after jumping off one foot. Makes me wonder if it is something a guy could change/improve with some coaching and or practice.

I disagree. Jeanne is a legit talent. If Rudy didn't exist he'd still be a 1st round prospect As far as his frame, yes it is a concern, but again, dude is 19- he'll get bigger.

There will always be a place for a guy with that kind of length, athleticism, fight, and motor. He'll get bigger as he matures. If he develops his shot he could be pretty special. In my mind he's more than worth the risk at 24.

I disagree on two counts. One, we've seen a zillion bigs who just can't put on weight. Secondly, we're too close to serious, deep playoff runs to take a project at 24. I'm not saying take a low ceiling guy at 24 but it should be someone who can hopefully seriously contribute this season. Semi, someone like that as an example. Jeanne could then be taken at 30.

He doesn't need to dunk everything. See if he makes lay-ups off one foot.

Something I noticed about Kurucs - he almost never goes left. Always returns to his right side when he's attacking the paint.

I think it's fair to say Jeanne is a high-risk/high-reward project. He may be more skilled out on the floor than Gobert was at the same age, but Gobert was on track to becoming a rim-protecting center, whereas it's not clear what Jeanne is going to be.

Gobert was skinny as hell when he came into the league... and he was 30 pounds heavier than Jeanne is now. THat's the thing that bothers me the most.
