What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Give me a break. If you watched every player he talks about you'd be watching over 200 minimum. Then he brags about them like he predicted something. Dude talks about so many dudes it's extremely easy to look back and bump the posts.

You don't get it. The more he talks about, the better. I don't have to watch every one. In recorded about 8 games today. After the wife falls asleep, I'll watch the five games i couldn't get it during the day. doesnt even matter if he's right. Point them out- if they are legit talents, I'll try to watch.

Yeah. I do like that. Its always cool to try and identify the sleepers and since by definition those players don't get media attention, it helps when someone gives the heads up.

What's the concensus on the Fultz v Ball matchup last night except "they're both pretty good in their own way"

Down goes Chino Hills and their 60-game win streak at the hands of Lindell Wigginton's 35 on 14/22fgs and a dagger(Been hyping him here for some time) and Billy Preston's 16 and 22 boards.

LiAngelo with a woefully inefficient shooting night 20 something on like 35 shots..

Keep an eye on Wyomings 6'7" 180lb So. SG Justin James who dropped a career-high 26 and 7 assists today on just 12 fga's! Underrated Florida kid. 41% from 3 on 2.7attempts per game.

He and Hayden Dalton both look like future pros.

I didn't see it but it looks like Fultz had very little help offensively and Ball had all sorts of help, as per usual.

Chemizie Metu with a career high 29pts on 12/14 shooting, 8 boards 2 blocks.

Drew Eubanks with 22-17 (Oregon st. falls to 4-20).... I really wonder what UK would look like if you swapped him and Bam...

Zach Collins with 14-8 and a block in 19 minutes. Tillie with 10-4 and 2 steals in 10 minutes. The Zags are rolling!!

career high 20points for Donte DiVincenzo, he definitely looks like a priority 2nd rounder type eventually. Mikal Bridges with 14-5reb-2ast-4stl-3blks. 26-9-5 for Hart.

19-3-3 for Donovan Mitchell, as long as he keeps shooting from 3 at this rate his stock should be safely in the 1st.

Strong showing from Florida's Devin Robinson and John Egbunu.

26 and 17 for the NCAA's leading rebounder Angel Delgado in victory over Georgetown. LJ Peak with 18 5 and 7 ast in the loss.

another day another 4 block game for Robert Williams. 16-16 2 blks and 2/3 from 3 for Duop Reath in the loss.

Eric Mika 23-12-2 ast. Any BYU fans know if he's Dolph Lundgrin clone?

Markis MacDuffie with 16 -5- 1ast-3stl. He's shooting 39% from deep

good games all around for Mustapha Heron, Danjel Purifoy, Jared Harper in victory vs Alabama. Brandon Key and Dazon Ingram with nice showings for the tide.

decent statlines for Andrew Jones and Jarrett Allen but UT gets destroyed once again.

15-9-4blks for Tacko Fall in a 15pt victory over Memphis. Dedric Lawson with 28-10-3ast-3stl-1blk and 14/14 from the stripe.

Kerem Kanter and Green Bay upset Valpo! Alec Peters with 20 8 and 2 in defeat.

5-blocks today for Michael Weathers, his 3pt shot has fallen off tho down to 28% on the season.

Troy's Jordon Varnado with 12-8rebs-3ast-3blks in 26 minutes. The 6'6 swingman's shooting 55% from the field 40% from 3 (2attempts per) and 68% from the stripe. 1.2 blocks per game, he's certainly somewhere on the 2nd rd radar.

After watching some Fox and Smith, they seem to have very similar strengths and weaknesses. Who is the better prospect and why?

it depends on what the team needs. whats most important is how they stack up vs nba pg's and i'd say that's safely above avg, meaning they're both extremely scarce commodities(stacked up vs future draftees too)

ultimately fox is going to get drafted very high because of his speed. there's just not 6'3½" floor-general's with that type of speed to be found. There doesn't appear to be any on the horizon in the next few years.. if he really improves his outside shot he's a HOF talent in my estimation..

ultimately dennis smith is going to get drafted very high because he can potentially operate as both a p'n'r dynamo and an iso scorer, this is also what separates him from many of the PG's we'll see in the coming years. his upside is something greater than kemba walker..

both share a knack for spectacularly difficult high-octane finishes at the rim. very different personality wise, fox has a perfectionist way about him, ds4's more laid back, you could say it's reflected in their defensive intensity.

DS4 is shooting 39% from 3 on almost 5 attempts per game. While Fox has been atrocious from deep, this could end up being the deciding factor. I like Fox's chances at shooting better though, he obviously needs some minor adjustments he shoots laserbeams..

fwiw - I still think Fox is a good fit with Philly to run that warpspeed showtime fastbreak with Simmons..

can't imagine there's actually 39 players in the class of 2018 better than Jairus Hamilton. scouts got him ranked #40. 6'8 and 230lbs with a versatile skillset already.. i really like his chances, reminds me of Harrison Barnes(and some tj warren) he's built like an NFL tight end.

like his chances at being a better nba player than any of the Hamilton bro's (Isaac could sneak into the 2nd rd this year)

kinda hoping he picks up a UK offer. they've got their sights set on 5*'s like Cam Reddish tho..
