Following potential 2017 draftees...

i just caught the ucla-washington replay and Lonzo seemed to get the better of the action due to his activity level defensively, despite them finishing with near identical statlines.

Lonzo definitely has a very strong case for #2

6'11" '99-born bigman Olivier Sarr from Paris/INSEP has recruiting interest from Stanford and ASU in the hs class of 2017. Looks like a very interesting athlete, and surely Rudy's gotta be one of his hero's.

long arms built like John Henson. super raw offense. He might still be growing. scout's got him as 4-stars..

I hope he ends up at Stanford, that'll means they'll have assembled my favorite roster there since the Lopez bro's. German PF Oscar Da Silva's already on board.

Ball, Fox and Smithjr are all so close. I give Ball the slight edge because he's bigger than the other two and his ability to make guys better is slightly above the other two.

I then go Fox due to his defense and length. Smith is stronger and the better long range shooter. both ridiculously explosive and can get to and finish at the rim. Ball and Fox seem more steady in terms of demeanor/attitude. IMO, Smith has a little CP3/MJ - this killer, take over thing that is rare- in his game, but on the other hand i don't always trust his attitude, which is anti MJ.

Bottom line, i'm not sure you go wrong and all three i think have HOF/multiple all-star potential. likely one of the three will bust, though bust for them will mean they don't make multiple all star games. these dudes are special. as a group of three, they have better potential coming out of college than Paul/Williams/Felton, IMO.

PG_AB Lonzo is obviously going to be a top-3 pick. LaMelo is a 5-star recruit. LiAngelo is only a 3-star. What is the difference between him and his two brothers? From watching games it seems like he's a stretch power forward in a guards body.

i've only seen him once, but you hit the nail on the head, IMO. he's 6'6" 240 and still in HS - unless he works his *** off, he's going to be 6'6" 250+ when he hits the league. lights out shooter, but still might be playing the wrong sport. perhaps he can be PJ Tucker or Jae Crowder if he can really learn to D guys up.

also, Ball still shooting 43% from 3, but i remain uneasy about his funky shooting stroke. I'd feel better if he were an 80% FT shooter rather than 65%. i admit, that probably isn't fair because he's sustained the accuracy for as long as he has, but the poor FT% kinda supports my worry.

Yeah, that's rough. That's basically no man's land. Too big for a guard and too short for a big. He can definitely score the ball. He won't be as good in the post in college as he is in high school because of the competition. He needs to really work on his weight and be a lights out shooter.

LiAngelo will outperform that 3* ranking in his time at UCLA, I guarantee it. I'd have him at 4-stars tbh he's certainly a way better shooter/scorer than many of 4-stars ranked ahead of him...

unless he's got a real discipline problem he'll lose the weight. we're not talking about a players weight at the combine here, he's got time.

if he's a 3* than he's one of my favorite 3*'s in the class up there with Jordan Nwora(UL), OShae Brissett(Syracuse), Victor Uyaelunmo(USC), Xavier Tillman(MSU), Herb Jones(Bama) and TyShon Alexander(Creighton)

The real key that people are overlooking with LiAngelo is UCLA might desperately need his 3pt shooting next year............. Outside shooting isn't their 5-star recruits Jalen Hands and Kris Wilkes forte and they're sure to lose a ton of firepower, Alford and Hamilton graduate. Ball, Leaf, Holiday, Anibogu, even Welsh could all declare..

Lonzo is the floor general, LaMelo is a reckless high-volume scoring PG and LiAngelo is the swingman. thats the biggest difference I suppose.

Lonzo's like a young Luke, LaMelo's like a young Anikan and LiAngelo's more like the brazen smuggler/Han Solo type, he doesn't have the same juice but you couldn't convince him of that.. Lavar is obviously Yoda.

I've made several posts about Lindell Wigginton here. He's the one who put the finishing touches on Chino Hills win streak. LiAngelo hurt his ankle in this game and shot horrifically afterwards.

Scout's still got wigginton ranked 65th but he looks like a possible 1 and done candidate to me. great floater, he's a scoring PG with a great outside shot, crafty, great floater, great scoring instincts. I've said before he's got some Mo Williams to his game.

Iowa St. definitely plans to hand him the keys at PG next year with Morris graduating. He's gonna have the greenlight to score at will too.

He scored like 15 points in the last 5 minutes of this game finished with 35 on something like 14/22 from the field.

I'd even go as far as calling him a poormans Kyrie.

FSU can pretty much beat anyone if they play like that 109-61 vs a usually game Clemson team...

quiet game from Isaac. Bacon led the way and their bench shot like 80% it's insane...

Ethan Happ's balling on IU.

Tony Bradley with some loud contributions for UNC off the bench in a win over ND.
